im thinking the filler plug or the axle seals, ive ordered new ones from primedriven. However there is a spot in the transmission, where the sealant seems cracked, i hate to crack the transmission just to reseal it.
why do we keep spending on these cars..... Pics of the gasket and new spark plug seals... and finished product.... i still need to deshine a few things.. and use a few products that i have available... -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... I feel like these chassis have never got the attention it deserved.
Ive seen many featured cars on various tuner magazines front page covers. But have you ever seen a celica of 6th or 7th gen chassis on the front page? The chassis is very capable as are corolla from the 90s as seen on best motoring videos. But people here are so strung up on mainstream cars they wouldnt think a celica is even worth tuning. Perhaps we think throwing a lot of money at it will get us recognized? Anyway. You should have featured car here on 6gc. We havent had one in a while. But at same time photobucket destroyed that quirk as well -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

No i would not like my car featured. Im fine as is. Less attention it gets, better. Unfortunately this chassis, does not get attention because most people that get it, are for transport purposes, and when the idea of swap comes, it comes down like a high speed slide, to the bottom of the pool.
I see a lot of builds, people spending a lot of money up to 10 grand, tuning their 3sgte, and its a great engine, but unless you know what you are doing, you are never happy and then failed projects get sold or traded... they start with a cheap price in mind, and at the end of the day they have invested so much money, its ridiculous.. A V6 swap, is what these cars need. If you can afford a 2GR, the better. Trust me, im happy. Its very functional, enough power, and it scares me. The initial cost is probably high, but thats it. No tuning. And best of all no scavenging the internet for parts, or waiting for overnight parts from japan. Parts are here...locally... I seriously tought more people will join in the 2Gr venture, but unfortunately the 3 guys I know, that have the engine, did not continue with the swap or never started... They need to feel the power and torque, its amazing. No lag, spin wheels in third gear, and best of all these idle at 500 rpm, lol. which is very weird. maybe one day i will see another 2gr completed... But as it is right now, most people want the 3S, and when the GT4 arrives to the USA, seriously doubt they will take the 3s out.... And I dont blame them. The only way to get the car recognized is to put the car in a movie. Maybe my car can be in fast and the furious 25, Starring Box as Square Pants Disel -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... I'm sorry to have disappointed you Noberto. Maybe one day I'll get a pre-96, and do something with it, but right now, with the baby, it's something I just can't do.
I do hope to ride in your car this coming summer, maybe that will be motivation enough! -------------------- ~bloodMoney

I think the ST-205 and ST-202 being viable for import soon is kind of killing swapping for anyone that likes the 6th gen Celica. Like you said why bother swapping when you can just import a car already done. As to why it doesn't get recognition is beyond me, yet anything Honda is lavished with support and aftermarket parts. Which if you think about it any FWD car from Nissan and Mazda has the same problem, even though cars like the NX2000 and MX-3 were some of the best FWD cars for their time.

Just think of all the weight you'd pull off the front though, using a longitudinal 2GR from a RWD car it should be possible.
