The dealership I worked at for a while would “red tag” old age units, cars that have sat on the lot for too long. Especially towards the end of each model year on common cars like the Camry and Corolla. It wasn’t unusual to see a sticker in the windshield offering $2-5k off of sticker price before negotiations even started. The two highest I ever saw were $15k off of a brand new GS-F that just wouldn’t sell and $12k off of the former dealership owner’s personal RC-F. Of course you can’t get anywhere near that much off of a Toyota, especially a Camry that only costs $22k in the first place. We gave $7,000 off of a wrecked Camry (new car, wrecked on the lot) because we didn’t want to fix it, but I’m sure the dealership got an insurance check for that one. There are tons of deals to be had on new cars if you get in good with a salesman who will call you when they are marking cars down. Just don’t expect any favors on Highlanders, 4Runners, Tacomas or Tundras.

Don’t even get me started on the deals you can get on old age used cars. I ended up getting a total of $9k in value on my ‘16 certified 4Runner, which is the biggest reason we pulled the trigger.

It's straight up retarded how much Toyota makes on Tacomas...

I’m sure other dealerships do but we couldn’t even get employee discounts on those four, new or used.

$6K for an automatic ST, yeah ok good luck with that.

You can always talk dealers down on used cars... I quite enjoy making salesmen sweat as they have to go back and forth between me and their GM to get approval to drop more on price. I usually have the GM's come straight to me after a while. Haha!

Hell, even some manufacturers and dealerships will budge a LOT on new cars, depending on when you go (end of the month/end of the quarter). My co-worker picked up a new Hyundai for his fiance and talked them down almost $5,000.

Well yeah, my brother ended up getting his '12 Genesis Coupe for what the dealership had in it plus doc fees. It was a certified used car and being a 6-speed manual it had sat for ages, they just wanted to break even on it and he knew it.

Ok but that's the kind of thing you eat when you lose a bet or lose a contest like as punishment. Spicy mashed avocados with chocolate pudding in a pie crust. Yes. Totally. I'll throw in some of my patented 'no one else eats it tuna pasta salad' side dish.

Spicy and chocolate go together, though it's usually chili peppers in chocolate and not avocado. APPARENTLY, chocolate avocado pudding is a thing: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/234324/chocol...vocado-pudding/

As a vegan, I've tried avocado pudding and wasn't all that impressed...

Jordan, make guac... Yum!
