Well because life couldn't suck anymore Windows decided to blue screen of death on me so I need another computer again since I don't have Windows 7 discs and for what that'd cost might as well just get another computer.

To add insult to injury apparently someone knocked the Fujitsu off onto the floor cracking the side of it and ruining the battery, and now the screen won't display anything either. So the one backup that at least worked until it started to overheat is ****ed too. **** me sideways...

So after mourning the death of the Fujitsu and questioning why I've been forsaken so it is miraculously working again, I don't know how but I won't question this gift of mercy bestowed upon me probably by some weird electronics or computer god that lives on Mount Fuji.

So in my quest for purple there's also the 2000 Acura Integra:
Which it's FWD of course, but if I were going to go back to FWD the Integra was one of the top choices. Then again it'd always be an option of getting whatever I decide on in black, then it could be painted any shade of purple I want and then it wouldn't need a rotisserie paint job to satiate my OCD as I could live with a black engine bay and interior sheet metal with the exterior panels and jambs being purple. That or could do Autoflex/Plasti-Dip or vinyl wrap and same deal applies there too. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

AP 1128 mini impact ratchet cause it kicks ass or so I heard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dPTnUYJKEg AP is the same thing, just different branding. It'll be handy for sure. https://www.ebay.com/itm/232601411569 -------------------- |

Buying things is nice. Speaking of nice my brother gave me an old Acer laptop he had gotten but doesn't use anymore since the battery doesn't work and he'd replaced it with something more portable to use for working on cars anyway. Was slow as sin at first, but after doing a crash and burn then cleaning up all the default b.s. from the factory it's not bad so far. Will have to get around to futzing with the Dell later.

In other news, Ive sold some extra 6gc parts this month and im surprised people still think parts go for honda money. Alot do not understand, I have already went through the waiting process of getting things from japan, snail boat mail that took months to get here from back in the day. I sold a TRD strut bar yesterday after the guy kept blowing me up for it. He should ebay listings and what not was like I can not afford 400 plus 150 for shipping. I sold it for $350 plus 25 for shipping, then his buddy hits me up and goes well theres one for sale for 200 on a celica group, im like ok, send me the link or the guys profile. Messaged him and picked it up. Then the guy I sold the TRD strut bar to originally hits me up and goes well there was one for $200 on a group that i should of bought instead and saved money. I said you should of, but I already purchased and picked it up already. Then proceeds to say that projectors headlights should only go for 200 max and people are stupid to pay more. In a way yes the projectors are expensive but I told him you gotta pay to play.
Then I sold set of TRD splitters and some euro risers to a guy, grateful as can be. He was surprised that I mailed out his package and got it over nighted for no additional fee. Told a couple of his buddies and bam, made more business. Its good when your good to people. Just my little rant for today |

If you think it's better now with Windows lemme tell you the shock, the absolute shock, you'll be in for running Xubuntu on the thing. For daily browsing it's so much faster and simpler, for me at least. I do still have and use Windows but much less and only for media and gaming because there's more fit n finish for those things, there are Ubuntu distro's geared toward media use but I haven't dug into it much. The Dell I sold you I can't remember if I put a SSD in it. I seem to think I did but maybe I didn't. Anyway, if the HDD did take a nose dive into the shallow end of the pool I believe that model uses a drive caddy so it's a stupid simple swap, may as well get a cheap SSD for it cause I know from experience that simply dropping a cheap SSD into even a decade old laptop makes it feel like a brand new one or even faster than a brand new one. No one likes latency! -------------------- |

He was surprised that I mailed out his package and got it over nighted for no additional fee. Told a couple of his buddies and bam, made more business. Its good when your good to people. Just my little rant for today That was part of my problem with the Celica, the cars are worth nothing but any parts you might want are expensive. The cost of parts would only make sense to put them on a ST205, but that's just me when looking at the cost of parts for every other car out there. A new shock tower bar made in the U.S. for the Firebird is like $100 and there's three or four to choose from I kid you not... So yeah if I were to get another FWD car it'd be an Integra even though I like the Celica more just for the simple fact there are parts readily available and still being made for it. Which I still need to find a 350Z or G35 6-speed locally to test the clutch as they're the only options that meet my criteria and have the moderate amount of power I'd like to have. Otherwise it's most likely another Miata and just deal with the lack of power. Buying things is nice. No one likes latency! If it weren't for the fact everything I do outside of the internet requires Windows I would. I think the HDD is fine since it'll boot and run on the Linux partition just fine, just need to crash and burn it and start from scratch on Windows. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

When you have a SSD (even cheap ones now) and booting between OS's takes all of 30 seconds, switching back and forth is not a problem at all. Hopefully it's not a hardware issue, be sure to test RAM, that's a pretty common issue when Windows won't boot but Linux will since Windows is much more sensitive to unstable hardware.

Okie dokie.
Also is it just me or does the zenki S14 look like a cross between the J30 and Maxima, but with two doors lobbed off? -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

I love the maxima, great running cars, my manual one I had for a commuter was amazing. Enough power to be happy with.

My brother had a '98, or was it '99, Maxima SE 5-speed and a '95 GXE? automatic. Nice enough cars, only thing could really hold against them was the beam rear axle when the contemporaries were IRS. Which is weird since I think the generation before of Maxima had IRS.

Nice. I've always been a fan of maxima's strangely. This OG Accord I picked up has been a blast to drive, amazing gas mileage, parts are stupid cheap, I'm soo used to Lexus and Toyota part cost.
