Deadline for this group buy will be April 16th 2018. By then I'll start to collect payment and proceed to having them made. Whether that be through the company in South Africa with straight cut gears in 4.700 ratio or through MFactory here local to me in a helical cut design. I will have disassembled my trans and drop off my ring and pinion for MFactory to give me a quote by March 22rd. I honestly don't know how long it will take MFactory to get back to me with a quote on pricing. but im hoping 2 weeks maximum If it helps, I have an output shaft (the one with pinion) and ring already out of transmission and disassembled from when I was doing my Frankenstein S51 final drive & 5th gear + S54 1-4 gears. I can lend it to you for free if you'd like - just throw me a deposit and cover shipping both ways. I would like to have the parts back my May, as that's when I have my LeMons race coming up and these act as my spares. Parts are not damaged or worn. I have all the other guts of the gearbox as well - stock diff, gears, etc. |

Okay, so we have the choice between a 4.7 straight cut or a helical cut, but you only send yours to MFactory, so how the company in south africa will do ? they already have the design to make one ? or you will send them the data for making it ?
Cause i'm of course interested by the straight cut and i'm wondering how they will make it For the payment, how we will make it ? are we all gonna send 700USD or 700USD + shipping depend on where we lived ? |

Ok so i dropped off ring n pinion at syncrotech (mfactory is a sister company) David said straight cut is not a good design and causes too much lateral force on the trans housing n causes parts to break. They know from trial and error on honda motors.

So the price for the 4.750 will be around 700$ (of course we will see the real price in 2 week or so) but if we want 4.9 or 5.1 it will cost 100$ more but it's possible ? And it's not 6 week but 6 month to produced in the end ? Sorry if i ask stupid question, just want to be sure i have well understood We are close now |

not sure how many of you are interested still but i'll be getting another quote from Elite Racing Transmission In UK in a few weeks. just have to measure my parts first.
also for those of you considering an E56 transmission. i have a lead on a guy in Europe who is charging 250 euros plus shipping. then all you have to do is find a final drive from a 96-2000 Rav4 with 3sfe motor. the E250 transaxle from the Front wheel drive has a 4.562 final ratio and the AWD E250F has a 4.933 ratio. its something im highly considering. although e56 is heavier it does have lines to attach external oil cooler. -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

I have decided to go with the E56 gearbox for the extra strength and a set of custom 1-5 gears.
