Oh we've got an 8 lug Avalanche in the shop with the Vortec 8100. Talk about a bigass engine!

Oh hey, an Emerald Green Mica NB1 LS. smile.gif

I need a Miata in my life again. The Firebird is finished aside from final buff and polish, then can sell it.

Tacking the LS there on the end shows that you know more about the car than I do. laugh.gif

Yes they made a 2500 Avalanche.

Looks like someone found a buyer the Miata after they get bored with it.

I imagine getting with an old friend would be like trying to date an elementary school teacher.

I know, and thanks, I'm ok. Technically I should be happy about that, right? I'll go with that; I'm happy I was turned down, since she's not into women.

Found out earlier this week that I’m gonna have to gut and redo the entire sound system in the LX. Everything is failing one component at a time which kinda sucks. It’s not the best system in the world but it is well balanced, falling a little short on the highs but otherwise adequate. Replacing everything with JBL this time around, nothing fancy. Picked up a Blaupunkt amp at a great price after hearing great things about them, then finding out that apparently they’ve gone out of business. May end up replacing that later.

Hopefully getting the Miata on the road this weekend too. I wanted to have that done already but we’ve gotten quite a bit of snow since I bought it. Based on the conversation I had with Brigette last night, I don’t think I own a Miata anymore. I think it just became hers... I can’t have anything fun. laugh.gif

I told him to knock out the back wall of his current garage and turn his backyard into a 4+ car extension but........... he wanted grass.

Grass is boring. You have to go out and cut it all the time so it doesn't become unsightly. I'd much rather have extra garage space than grass.

I do need a bigger garage. A nice shop and a lift would do the job just fine. I don’t think that’s asking for too much. The Miata gets the driveway and the Lexus gets curbside parking so we’re somehow making it work but it is annoying.

Unfortunately the doggos need a yard, otherwise garage space would easily be a priority. Living in Colorado, I don’t have to mow that often because the grass is typically dead. laugh.gif

Like it's code for you to have a certain amount of grass or it's just for the dogs?

Finally changed out the battery in the winter car, very slow start this morning. I started thinking back and thought 'oh I got like 4-5 years out of this battery that's pretty average' but then I thought harder and no it's more like 8 years old now so it did pretty good. I think it was bum from the start though because it always cranked slow with it but it always started so I just figured I had a slow starter on the car or something. Popped the new one in and after sitting out getting cold all afternoon at work I went out and it started up faster than it used to in the summer! I also checked my spark plugs which I had been meaning to do, I pulled #2 and it was past done, the other 3 were pretty done. I gapped them back down to near what they should be and ordered a fresh set of my favorite, Denso Iridium TT, for Monday from one of our suppliers. With the gapped plugs and fresh battery it's all ready for the cold snap that's over now. Just need another pair of tires and it'll be all ready for the snow that's done for the year. Getting it all fixed up right on time!
