Thanks! Though I just had an '01 Brilliant Black LS 5MT with 70K miles offered to me for $6,500 that comes with the O.E. wheels and suspension along with Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 wheels and Paco Rallycross coil-overs. It had a matching hardtop, but it was already sold. Thinking about asking if he'd consider selling it without the Pro Race wheels or coil-overs, especially the wheels at least since I really have no use for Spec Miata 15x7.

I plan on it being quite some time, I'm done with car shuffling. Also ended up calling and talking to the owner of the black '01, which I figured as much but he wasn't up for swapping suspension and wheels out but said it was OBO on the price. Guess will look at the NA8 first as planned.

Put me down for less than a year. $20.

Or not at all, turns out the NA8 guy was a sexist jerk... That's ok, the owner of the NB2 said he'd take $6,000 for it and would send more pictures after work. Fine by me; 6 years newer, 103K less miles, and etc for another $1,500... Anywho, here's the one picture I do have of it:

Sadly the hardtop is already sold, but it comes with the rallycross coil-overs and Spec Miata wheels.

Thanks that means a lot, but I've decompressed after taking a shower and then talking with the NB2 owner. Supposed to see the NB2 on Sunday now, and he sent some pictures:

The only real issue is that it needs the seats recovered, but from what I've gathered the perforated leather seats for them are prone to tearing easily.

Is this the same guy who was selling it last year at 52,000 miles asking around $6000 at the time or is this the new owner re-selling it a year later?

Come on Box, research!

Oh yea, this aluminum line I got is nice to bend and unlike copper it doesn't seem to work harden itself as much as copper once being bent. The spring bender I got for it works great too, better than the tube bender I took home from work, it's slightly fatter than the 3/8th slot in the bender and so it runs up and out of the slot once you get around 120 degrees and there's nothing moving with the tube to keep it in the slot.

Definitely the same car it'd seem, different seller though since the current seller added wheels, tires, and coil-overs. That and the tags are different.

Wonder why he's ready to give it up after a year and adding a bunch of stuff? Makes me worry there's something up with it.

13,000 miles in a year in a Miata, impressive.

Because he's V6 swapping a NB1 and needs the funds to finish it.

That's ok, how did you decipher the blurry VIN to look it up?

I reversed the plate to VIN with magic and sorcery and just a wee bit of lube.

So this means in a year when his V6 swap is complete you'll sell this Miata to buy that Miata?

Ahh ok, I figured it might be off the plate tag instead.

Haha, from what talking I've done with him the V6 NB1 is going to be around for quite awhile. He had a 911 Carrera and sold it since he didn't like it as much as either Miata. With 69K miles and it being a Brilliant Black NB2 with the LS package, Hard-S package, and having ABS it's one I'll be keeping indefinitely. I'm super excited about getting it!!!
