Woah, that guy lives in the same city as me.

That is a nice swap...

He's a nice guy. We've had discussions/debates about the V6 swap and torque/hp on CelicaFiles in the past...

Yeah i met him back on the www.toyotacelicaweb.com board. He tried to keep it a secret but it leaked out. I followed that thing forever too. Sweet ride is right. I can wait to see him at the meet in SB this summer.

Happy Boosting,
David

Weight-wise... the 1mzfe doesn't weight that much more than say a 5SFE or 3SGTE. All alluminum! Anyways... from what I gathered, I don't think he's gonna track the car, so I doubt oversteer and balance or anything bothers him.

Does anyone know what the engine bay size of a 5th compared to a 6th is? I've been thinking about doing this swap for a long time now

It should probably be about the same except you gotta deal with the height of the 1MFZE. I think its about 2-3 inches taller than the hood will allow. I'm pretty sure that the guy with the 5th gen ran into the same problem. I'll have to look at his write-up, I haven't heard about this thing for a while.

As long as the engine bay is the same size or bigger, Im in. This is the swap that I really want to do. I mean 200Hp and Torq from a N/A engine...then option for the superhcarger... that rocks
