from what i can tell, they've tightened things up noticeably. although, my back tires are pretty fookin bald.

i'm bringing her in to get new rubber sometime this week, so i'll do a twisty test this weekend. but, seriously...it's made a significant difference thus far.

here's the front :

and the back :

i'd definately recommend these to all of you guys that want to tighten things up.

DG made them and shipped them in record time. plus, he kept up communications throughout the whole transaction. good stuff!

Looks good Raek. I thought he didn't have the 3pt available to fit the ST's though? Unless I read wrong?

Is there significant amount of notice from having front a rear brace vs. not having the rear and just a front strut bar only?

I agree, it looks very nice. Let us know if you notice any difference in your car.
The work looks awesome, DG.

the 3 point has a bar that also goes straight across the two strut towers...

i guess, technically, you could call what i have a three point brace...but, it's only really two bars...

and, yeah..i'll let you guys know how good cornering/handling is as soon as i get my new tires, hahaha...

They look excellent...nice one Raek.
...and credit to DG.

Strut bars are well worth getting.
You'd be amazed at the difference they make with handling.

Thanks for the props guys!
Thanks to Raek for taking a chance and trusting my fab skills biggrin.gif
Let us all know hwo the handling is when you get done putting the bars to the test down that windy road...... just dont get too crazy and crash the car man!
But go ahead and hit some turns and put some stress on em and really test em out......... they wont budge you got the super thick ones!
Thanks again,
DG

Hey DG, I'd like to get one just like Raek's. Sorry I didn't understand which ones you said would fit the ST, I thought you just mean the straight one would. That one looks great though. Also, I sent you an email earlier.

Shouldn't the GT fit the ST? I thought they were the same width cars??

haha...he's explained it a million times.

the 7AFE tilts upward as to where the intake manifold obstructs the way of a 3rd bar...the GT's engine does NOT do this...

therefore...ST = two point brace

GT = three point brace

NOT for the front as Raek explained...
BUT it's OK for the rear strut bar.
(I got an adjustable RS*R rear strut bar for an ST202 - fits perfectly).

ok, so i got a chance to take my car out for some, ummm...'spirited' driving today through some back roads, and i must say that the strut bars made a NICE difference.

it feels like the car is MUCH more stable through sharp turns, and quick slalom type turns also feel great. nice and tight.

i'm thinking if i get the front stabilizer bars that dg's making, it'll help even more.

Nice to see some positive feedback from the work that i have put into making some stuff for you guys. I cant beleave that raek is the only guy that said anything, cause there are a few other guys that bought some bars off me too!
Glad to see that they helped you out
thanks for the feedback,
dg

I just got mine in the mail and put it on...very nice!!

But I have a dilema. My car didn't come with a factory strut bar, so does anyone know what size bolts I need to attach the bar to my fire wall. I didn't want to have to guess if somebody knew the size. It would be VERY helpful. Or if toyota had a part # that would be cool too biggrin.gif

Good job DG!!
