I just finished Smoking my taillights and debadging my hatch. I just thought that if anybody wanted to know how it looked I posted pics in my profile. It was a little harder than i had expected but I am happy with the results. Enjoy!

smoking...you HAVE to do very light coats or it will look uneven or run. And I used Window tint paint from a hobby store. It is the same stuff they use for rc cars. For debadging I used a blow drier for the heat and a rotary tool with goo gone for getting the glue off. |

When I debadged, it was so hot outside that I just peeled them off. Of course my Celica is trimmed in black, not the normal chrome. I don't know if that makes a difference. Then I used goo-gone to get all the stickyness off. Turned out perfect, no fading of the paint that was behind it or anything.
I really wish that I could take off the Toyota emblem too, but there are two holes behind it. Damn. -------------------- ![]() |
