I went shopping today for a WRX..not to bad there 2004 WRX Standard Package+Sun-roof goes for-22,000 (no way I can get the STi) with like 10,000 miles on it. Took a test drive, it was a very smooth ride and past 4K its pretty nice. Im just waiting to pay off the Celica then Im about 98% sure Im going to get one. Plus insurance likes the AWD+ 4 Door thing too.

hmm, im not 100% sure...I use to know, and either the WRX here was dif than in japan due to a different Liter engine to stay within emissions...then when the STi came we got all the performance PLUS the bigger engine...it was, confusing...i forget frown.gif

i believe the turbo/ic/suspension/etc are a little different on the STi. also, even with my bias, STi > GT-FOUR in performance definately. sorry. smile.gif. but w/ looks, i'd say they are pretty much equal tho...

sorry bro but a 2.5RS will take an ST; and GT's shouldn't be a problem either frown.gif

I do love the old body style tho, do an EJ20 swap and you're all set

eh-heh, just like the GT4, they DID have WRX's
they never came to the US, and the 2.5 with the slits and scoop in the hood was the same style as the WRX in japan.

WRX's have been made since 1992. Along with evo's and skylines they are one of the most common performance cars around over here rolleyes.gif Which is part of the reason why i got a GT-Four in the first place-to have a bit of exclusivity biggrin.gif

Well my one put down 228hp at the wheels with exhaust, filter and more boost.

My guess a stock one would do about 195ish hp. The drivetrain loss is about 25%

arent most dyno runs done in 4th gear which is usually the gear that is closest to 1:1 ratio?

why is that evo's dyno done in 3rd?

edit:the dyno was changed

I just got a quote on a 04" WRX ..*gulps*..check this out.....

....Directly from the letter,

Dear Daniel Snider:

Thank you for your Internet request.

Based on the information that you have provided, if you were to replace your
1997 Toyota Celica GT/LE with a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX, your new six month
premium would be approximately $2,005.60. This is a total increase of
$1,448.90. Please keep in mind that this is an estimate only, and the actual
premium may differ based on the Vehicle Identification Number. Since this
request was for a quote only, no changes have been made to your policy.

I have Geico and I pay now $94 a month for Liability only, this would be $330 a month...damn rolleyes.gif Scratch that idea.

how i think of it is a subaru costs £20k new and a used gt4 costs £6k plus the £14k on mods and your going to have one killer.

Yea its just you. Because not just about all celica owners but basically everybody else in this world find the GT4 to be one of the best designed cars. I have friends with Evos and STIs that are really impressed with it.
