You have a different engine than our GTs. Our GT's are 2.2 L 5sfe engine.

You will need an S series transmission and a rewire to be done.

BTW: You really need to use the search button. This swap has been probably been done by 30 different 6gc'ers and who knows how many 5th and 4th gens.

Guys guys not everyone is familiar with the rules and educate of internet forums. I think we were all new once and didnt know about search functions and what not. We can go to a new forum and know what exactly has been asked 100 times, and that most of the information we will ever need is already available in the archieves. But **** cut the guy some slack.

When I was new to the world of message boards (celica.net and toyotacelicaweb.com), the first thing I would do was search for an answer. Mind you, I started my search using Google prior to my discovery of message boards. But oh well, I guess not everyone has common sense... sorry Mark... I guess it's not polite for us to make assumptions like that... rolleyes.gif

Uppity, I don't like having to repeat myself. We ALL told him to search, and he still posts in this thread again asking EXACTLY what we told him to search for.

in the UK, they have the 3SGE in their cars, dont they? would probably be easier to do the swap than the 5SFE->3SGTE swap. but, id probably ask the fourth gen celica people myself.

Read what shid posted above...

No one was bashing... people offered "cordial" suggestions prior to his SECOND post... Obviously, he didn't listen and chose to be LAZY... but oh well... I guess that's something you overlooked...
