there have been quite a few ppl with swaps that
have had throttle cable issues. Usually the cable
that the motor/clip comes with ends up being too short,
or has been damaged. to remedy the situation
myself and others have used motcycle cables to
solve this problem.
later i came across another problem with the
motorcycle cable solution. the throttle cables
arent very strong. i have popped 2 over the
last 2 years. its not an expensive part but just
a pain in the ass.
so i did some research and
remembered Eric Hux at Hux Racing told me to try
Lokar for a custom throttle cable. with my
research i found that Lokar was trying to get in
the import scene. they make a cables 24", 36",
and 48". So I tried the 48" which is the length
i needed (same lenght as the motorcycle cable).
The 48" cable is for an integra but works great
for my 3s swap. I got it from www.southernperformance.com.
for 60 shipped and
it was delivered within 48hrs of my order to my
front door. it comes with all materials and instructions
needed to install. it took me about 20min to install.
so for all you 3s swappers hopefully this will
help you and finally remedy the issue of the
throttle cable.
