Im sure 90% of you have recieved this email and more than likely deleted it before opening it.

QUOTE
Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that
every time I fill-up the
tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying
to kill me, my family,
and my friends.

I thought it might be interesting for you to know
which oil companies are
the best to buy gas from and which major companies
import Middle Eastern oil:

Shell......................205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco.............144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil...............130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway..........117,740,000 barrels
Amoco......................62,231,000 barrels

If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount
to over $18 BILLION!

Here are some large companies that do not import
Middle Eastern oil:

Citgo...............0 barrels
Sunoco............. 0 barrels
Conoco............. 0 barrels
Sinclair............0 barrels
BP/Phillips.........0 barrels
Hess................0 barrels

All of this information is available from the
Department of Energy and each
is required to state where they get their oil and how
much they are importing.
They report on a monthly basis.

im going to do a lil quick research myself and see any other info i can dig up...

Unfortunately, none of those stations listed as "dont buy from the middle east" are in California. I guess we're just a bunch of terrorist promoting assholes. redface.gif

I have never bought petrol from Shell... Never really liked them.

I used to go to Mobil a fair bit, until I heard that they use shale oil in their petroleum products.

There is only one place to get shale oil in Australia and they are one of the main contributors to the bleaching of the coral reefs (from one of the by-products of shale oil mining/refining) up in Queensland.

BP are the only oil company that have committed to not using shale oil anytime in the future. Hence I only buy from BP and I only buy 98 RON ULP (Ultimate 98) or 95 RON PULP (Premium) only if there is no ultimate.

ive been running around the BP site for about 20 mins now and cannot seem to find where their main suppliers are at, all their info is locked in PDF and XLS files, my acrobat reader isnt working and you need a commercial business program to open XLS... so if someone else would like to venture into a little of this info BP is a good place to start.

I think that what they're saying is that if you buy from stations that import middle eastern oil, they're prices are likely to be higher than those who dont because of the price gauging thats associated with middle-eastern oil at the moment.

*EDIT- i see what you mean though, i dont disagree, it's kinda presumptuous, but then again, lots of our oil probably comes from Iraqi oil fields rolleyes.gif

Basically the idea is, if you're buying gas that ultimately comes from the middle east, you're supporting "terrorism" because obviously every single middle eastern government supports terror and wants to stab americans in the face. While nearly all are highly corrupt, it does disservice to the actual people living under those governments because it dehumanizes and demonizes them.

This is major fukin bullshat!!!

To say buying gas is supporting terrorism in Iraq is the same to say paying taxes is to support terrorism in japan. After japan bombed pearl harbor and we nuked the fuk out of them, we started sending them a sufferage check (whatever it's called) for their pain and suffering. This is crap that people start to try to make a point when in fact it's just diarea coming out of their mouth.

right on bro.

when I was at the protests in DC I saw a sign that said "bomb texas, they have oil too", I think that slogan works nicely in this case.

the whole point im getting at here was lost. all im stating that its a known fact that last year the middle easern oil exporting countries (hell if i remember their technical group name) got togeather and decided to cut back on US oil exporting, thus, the 1.50 we were paying at times last year... there was a law of sorts that the UN enforced saying these countries were not alot to do this for their personal profit... well aparently in the alure of the oncoming war (which seems to be becoming more and more inevitable everyday) they are doing this once again. then gas companies who distribute in the states are realizing what is happening hike them up even more, thus creating our rediculus 1.70+ gas prices... im just stating which companies dont import from the middle east...
