Honestly, for me...there WAS problems with the swap. Ask anyone who went through it, it's the most grueling, frustrating and financially draining experience. NO, I WOULD NOT DO THE SWAP AGAIN. So in my case, I'm just burnt out. I've worked so hard on my car the past 2 years and I'm all out of money. So I suppose I've just given up on modding cars. Yes, I have more important things in my life to worry about and the Celica just isn't one of them anymore. I WISH so much that I could've just bought a Celica with a swap when my car was stock. By doing so, you're saving yourselves ALOT of trouble. I mean, look at my car, Kuya, Supersprynt...it's ALOT of work and money and not a process for just anyone. But of course the difference is, Kuya and Supersprynt still have that burning desire and patience for their Celica...something I no longer have. Enough of my $.02.

Too bad you have to let them go... Its just such a HUGE risk to buy a swapped engine. I mean, someone that is gonna buy it will throwdown 12 grand or however much to get a completely custom set up, not done by the manufacturer. Also, the fact that it has so much power throws in the risk of the incredible engine wear it has not to mention how hard it has been driven. dont get my wrong but i would LOVE to buy a swapped celica, but the risk factor is just much too high.

Actually, risk factor comes with any used car. Not this car only. You really don't have any idea how the previous owner has driven their car. People who buy motors to swap in, buy used motors. So there really is no difference. Toyota engines are incredible and last forever. Most used Toyotas are sold with 200k+ miles these days. The 3SGTE is the best motor of them all. If you know anything about the motor itself, where the motor was bought from and what kind of modifications have been done, you'll have no reason to doubt the integrity of the engine. Mine, for example, is at stock boost, bought from Jarco and all the modifcations have been to help the engine run better without putting any strain on the motor than there would have been if it was completely stock. "But don't take my word for it....DUN DUN DUN!" - Levar Burton, Reading Rainbow LOL!

hmmm, funney my name wasnt brought up in this conversation ... daddy paid for my swap... so i cant bitch about running out of money or burden and crap... i can only tell you how great it feels to have 300hp to the wheels.... the traction loss makes the feeling even greater. these celies are bad ass cars and they dominate all the other FWD cars .... tek's has the phatest interior ive ever seen, and i have seen few swapped celicas with such a nice and clean engine bay as celicagtr2.

Going to college means you need the car more than ever.

So many chicks that needs to be driven around. Its gonna be the best time of your life. Having a phat car is gonna make it so much better.

Get a job or 2 while in college.

I wish I had my celi when I was in college. It would have meant so much more action.

That is why you march down to the financial aid office and get a government loan, interest last year was 0%, maybe 2-3% now. They only charge you the rate of inflation since it is not for profit organization. Damn dude take a finance class!

It's been determined that CelicaGtr2 is the same account as celicapres, in an attempt to scam at least one 6G Celicas member out of their money. This is being dealt with right now, and CelicaGtr2 has lost the privilege of being allowed to sell anything on this site, so therefore this topic is locked.
