Yeah you can add a BOV between the turbo and TB, close to the turbo. However you'll probably have to weld it on, maybe u can use a connecting tube w/nipple (935 motorsports.com).
A BOV works by releasing the intaked air thats betweeen the TB and turbo into the atmosphere. It allows for longer turbo life, quicker spooling, and a cool sound. -------------------- |

what triggers the valve to open?
In some BOV there is a filter on it, what does this filter do? |

The vacuum triggers the BOV to open.

Well, if you don't go into the higher boost ranges, then a BOV is actually unnecessary.
With a 7AFE, higher boost ranges is quite hard since it wasn't made for boost. Therefore, the only reason for a bov is for the sound and you don't really have to worry about the other stuff. |

man let me warn you on that kit, i got the extreme kit and its very very poorly made, you wouldnt believe the modification i had to do to install that kit on my 95 st....the manifold is just a standard log type and i'm pretty sure they never even mounted one of these kits on a 7afe because when i started to install mine i noticed that the turbo is all the way to the right and the wastegate actuator hits the transmission by quiet a bit so obviously there's no way it could have been a fluke, also the exhaust side of the turbo is going to be totally in the way of ur oil filter, it will not fit, you'll have to get a relocation kit, and even then its a very close fit..so close i burned one of my oil lines in half and had to get towed home. to get the turbo to fit you have to make a custom bracket for the wastegate actuator and then shorten the rod that opens the actual wastegate..its alot of work that you should never have to mess with, if i were you i would go custom, i wish i would have now...finally after about a good week of downtime i got my car going ( it would have been done overnight if i hadnt had all the unnecessary problems i encountered) it feels nice right now i'm actually pushin about 11 psi but i'm about to put a built motor in soon so i dont really care if it blows, plus i dont get on it too often, but its up to you man, once you get the flaws worked out it seems to work well, but you might get even better performance out of a custom kit, thats just my two cents

ohh also i forgot to mention, when i installed mine it sputtered bad and i finally figured out that it was the black box that comes for the map sensor, something wasnt right, i have two good friends who happen to be brothers, they both drive turbo mr2's and eventually i ended up putting a turbo pressure sensor off of one of their mr2's on my car to replace the map sensor and the sputtering stopped but when i tried to just use the turbo pressure sensor and not the black box it wouldnt work..so right now i have the mr2 turbo pressure sensor and the black box they sent me for my map sensor all hooked up and it seems to work great, just some more insight so you wont see some of the problems i saw..good luck

its meant for a corolla with a 7afe...i'm pretty sure the transmission is going to be in the same place on a corolla, thats something that doesnt just move around depending on what car its in...if its the same motor you'll have the same problem

you should call them and ask them if anyone has had any problems installing the kit, or if they've installed a kit on a 7afe, i'm not exactly sure if i wouldnt do it all over again, the finished product is awesome, i'm just not so sure i couldnt have had better results by getting a jgstools manifold and finding a turbo and piecing a kit together
