well im starting to look into what im gonna run for stero equip and what some opinions.
I love audiobahn so will prolly go that route but am thinking about getting 6 of these: here is a link to a discription - audiobahn amp link and I want to run 6 of these: and here is an ebay link to em.. prolly wont get em off ebay but its give the details about it - audiobahn speaker link what I would do is bridge the 2 channels on each amp and run one to each speaker.. the speakers would be reverse mounted so the back is showing and the amps would be staggered in the ceneter.. I know it would prolly be underpowered but im going for more looks than heart stopping power.. let me know if you guys have ne suggestions on what I should do.. -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

that would look good, but heres a suggestion instead of teh 4002t amp and 6 of them at that, get the 8002t its 800RMS and still intake style (i have it) this way you don't have to bridge and you can run only 3 amps which would look better, cause 6 is clutter 3 would be nicer and you would only loose 50rms per sub.....just a thought

I have those exact subs, i bought them from the same place too. there great i love em. you dont need 6 trust me, i have 3 each with a 600w amp, and ended up taking one (sub + amp) out because i just could not generate enough power to run them, with a new battery, and cap. while driving, and the lights barly light up at all. so night driveing was out of the question. i plan on finding a way to get the 3rd to work, but even 2 is plenty. 6 is just a waste of money even for show.

I prolly will end up only with 3 amps.. did a little measureing and it would be too tight of a squeeze with 6 amps
6 subs is what im gonna do.. once you see the completed idea this next spring u'll understand why.. as for powering that its no problem -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

Take Audiobahns rated RMS power, take a 1/3 off of it and that's what their true RMS is. A-bahn rates there subs in SMALL sealed boxes.....
I'd personally get 3 alumQ series subs.......alot better, twice as much $. Awesome subs, they only a-bahn subs worth a damn to me....they actually have "some" SQ......and they love both sealed/ported. |

I have no complaints about audiobaun but I will have to agree here. Audiobaun is a little on the expensive side since they don't run rated power. Still stuff though it will last for a long time. William |

if you run two speakers off each amp that amp should be stable down to 1ohm therefore if you run 4, 4 ohm voice coils that's 1ohm impedance and you'll get alot more powre output per amp.
i believe for those without the swap that stinger makes high output alternators for both the 5s and 7a. they prolly have 'em for the 5th gen celi 3s engines too but i don't know if there's any difference. This post has been edited by van95st: Jun 13, 2004 - 12:41 AM |

I like PG's, Hifonics, and punch stage series subs better than most audiobahns. Plus they are around the same price if you look in ebay, but if you really want to spend that much money for 6 subs and amps go for 2 or 3 better ones.

JL way over priced just because it cost a million doesn't mean it is worth a million.

Neverstop, what exactly are your goals for this system?
I'm guessing mostly SPL/show based on your selection of subs. If you're hoping to have good SQ, you should be thinking about other subs probably, because I've never heard any of their subs or talked to anyone with their subs who thinks they have good SQ. And I'm curious as to why you are getting six of them? That's gonna make your car noticably slower with all of the weight. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

Since I mentioned JL I guess I new what company I was talking about. I will state this again "way over priced". Personally if I am going to spend that kind of cash I would stick to rainbow or crystal they are superior products. Oh! Did I mention they would hammer JL into the ground. William |
