I ahd this problem with the my '86 GTS. It turned out to be a burned out dimmer switch and associated wires. I went to a junk yard got a dimmer with wires for about $5-10, replaced them and never had anymore problems after that. I don't recall if the climate controls are in that dimmer loop, so I don't know if yours is the same problem or not. I'd say check the dimmer for schorch marks and the wire insulation for burns. Let me know if I can be of further help.

Did you take apart the dash or anything? If you disconnect the dimmer switch, the dash lights no longer work.

Also, it's happened to people before...make sure you don't just have the dimmer switch turned all the way down. wink.gif

Also, your turn signals won't work if this happens. wink.gif
