I have a jdm GT4 (1998). My tail lights were JDM new model. I bought a spare set of tails but they are not the JDM one to experiment. I painted them and put only the right one on to see what it looks like. I did not have time to put the other one on because i needed to go back to work. When i started the car the tail light warning signal came up (the one in the speedometer above the open door signal). I have checked the lights and they light up just fine.

Can anyone tell me why the warning light is on? is it because i have one jdm light nad one not? As i understood the jdms are direct replacements of the oem. Should this be true the other way around? Help please. confused.gif

damn all you GT-4 owners.. ya'll have a warning lite for you tail lights too..damn we really got bent over side ways in the US... we pay more for less...

but if your warning light runs on the same logic as the FAST BLINKER warning we have on the us models.. and there is nothing wrong with your tail lights.. and the rear blinkers check your front blinkers..

Have you checked the 3rd brake light is working? When the bulb in mine went, the warning light came on.

Yes i have checked all lights of the car and they are just fine. Tonight i will put the other tail light on aswell and lets hope that this solves the problem. if not i may have to put the original JDMs back on to see if this is a problem just because of the oem tails on a jdm car.

The light went off at one time and now is on again. I just found out that one of the brake bulbs does not work correctly. sometimes it lights up but most of the times it doesnot. I will change it today and it should be fine.
Thanks guys, i will let you know if its not fixed.
