Can someone please help... my cigarette lighter no longer works. it worked fine and then i carefully took out some dash pieces to paint and put everything back together and for some reason the lighter doesn't work now. I checked the fuse and everything's ok...also took everything back apart and checked it out... all the connections are fine ...I hate it b/c now i can't use the cell phone charger.

thanks,
-C

He means on the car charger itself. I didn't even know they had one. Check to see if the lighter works as a lighter and not accessory. It should be obviously hot.

they are really fickel... mine will work one day and not the next...you just have to play around with it...i actually accidentally fixed mine some how by being stupid and putting a gum wrapper in there(not thinkin it being aluminum foil) and crossed the electricity...but i took it right off... and for some reason now it hasn't given me problems since. basically just play with it

i had the same problem. its probably the fuse on the back of the lighter assemble. it looks like a piece of wire but it actually a fuse. just replace that with a piece of speaker wire and it will work again. its a pain to do cause its so small but that should fix it. let me know if you need more info or do a search cause i remember posting about this before

mine had the same problem when i bought the car used. i bought a new lighter for 30 bucks from the dealer, and put it in with no tools. it's really easy. the console cover snaps out, and the lighter just unplugs and plug in the new one. gotta have it, ya know?
