Hi all! Glad to become a member of the group, bought an st 1995 hatch last week and after seeing the photos of other celicas, just cant wait to get started on mine, sort of a blank canvas at the mo.

Ive been lookin everywhere for aftermarket rear lights but with no joy...can anyone help, can you point me to a seller? Those S2000 lights on the red featured celica looks pretty slick, anyone know if the molding process is hard? or do u know anyone who can do this?

......basically sick of the jdm amber blinkers...makes car looks even more dated i think.

I wont flame because you seem nice - but please search

To answer your question:
Not many pal

You have 3 options with aftermarket taillamps.

Option 1: JDM (I gots mine -w00t!)
This option comes off the JDM ST205 Celica GT-4. Pictured here on Member Kevstir's car.

Option 2: Afterburners
This comes from a company in English-Land across the sea. Some like them, some dont. Its a personal bais at this point. Memeber DJMC has them and is pictured here.

Option 3: Custom Stock
Some members custom their stock taillamps by tinting, smoking, or painting. Much like the following pictures of Member's harv3ster, PaulGT, Neoklis respectively.

Smoking (Blacking out)

Its like Turbinduction said....you have three options without getting messy. If you have $$ and dont mind getting messy you can do just about anything. S200 tails and supra tails will work with some modification. Otherwise you can do what I have and rip your lens off and build your own (pics to come)

BTY welcome, and good luck with this!

If you're good at fabricating stuff, you could always do something like this.

Im not sure which member owns those custom clear/white tails but I know it took alot of work. Someone please post the username.

I don't have the username...I don't think that person is a member on the site. I found the photos somewhere, and have larger ones at home that I'll post. smile.gif

The late spec JDM lights are the nicest ones you can buy in my opinion, they are class.

If that comment that i quoted wasn’t ment for me then i apologize but I find this site rather un friendly sometimes, maybe im just used to the friendliness of www.celica-club.co.uk

note to moderators:

How bout taking turbo's post at the top, and sticking it, along with any other options for tail lights. We get more questions about this I think, and if we had something stickied (with more pics of custom jobs) we might not have to field this question every couple of months...

He's just stating his opinion...if u think this site is unfriendly, then try going to celica.net. This place is rather friendly compared to celica.net.

Anywayz i think that taillight on the black celica is awesome. Coomer u got anymore closeups on it?

Now that is one big spoiler m8 even i think its not for the 6 gen lol ..

Hey Sh0gunkid8721 iv looked at celica.net maybe twice and find it a waste of time to be honest that's why i hang about here and celica-club.co.uk , i do find this site in general friendly but there are a few members that seem to think nothing better than to dis peoples rides

Maybe its just down to a different culture

Got to agree with you Kevstir.

The attitude of some people on forums is so short and dismissive. Wasn't there a comment about how the member who owns that car posted once and then left when he got sh1t over his spoiler, so now there isn't a how-to on the lights.

Jesus guys, can't you just chill and appreciate that not everyone is the same? You are always saying that doing custom work is really l33t, what until they do some thing you dont like, and then it's not cool no more?

You all say you are not ricers etc, but what u dont realise, is that if 6gen celica was released in britain, with the BHP that the US one has, then as soon as you modded it at all, you would be regarded as the Uk version of a ricer, because you are modding a non-sports car!

Sorry to be harsh, but the UK celica has what 177bhp, and it isn't that fast, it's only just a sports car, and thats more down to its styling. The US one is so much slower, how does it qualify?

See what i mean about persective! I regard my 177 bhp GT as slow, because to me the GT4 is quick, and it's here. Diff ppl have different views, accept it! U may not like it, but why not be polite about it???
