Hi all, this is kinda urgent. Does any of you guys know how to take the 6th Gen Celica back seat off. I'm trying to run speaker cables but I couldn't take the seat off. Been trying for 1 hour but no luck.

Cheers

It has some sort of locking mechanism. Tried to pull, but I just couldn't pull it out. Any other suggestions?

i wrote a how to a while back...

you have to pull out the fold down seats too...

then i think you just pull up on the seats. if not check for a lever under the seat

The clips in the front of the back seat just pull out and clip in...the problem ur having is that they're bolted in the back end somehow, i frankly dont kno where I couldnt find where they bolt in.

You have to take out the fold down portion of those seats before you can take out the bottom part. Just pull the bottom part up, they can be really stuborn sometimes so just keep pulling, mine didn't want to come out to easily and I had to pull for about 10 mins.

I know cause I had to take off mine to fit a bodykit in my hatch...Fold down the rear seat back and there are two nuts on either side of it attaching it to the trim panel right in front of your strut towers...remove those and the bottom part of your seat will pop right out...to get the whole thing out just take out the bolts under where your seatbelt clamp comes out...I believe there are three...This will remove the top portion as well
