no one would ever swap their tranny from manual to auto!

solara tranny is another option, but i hear that the gearing on it sucks and its not worth it.

there are quite a few people on here that are using a GT tranny with no problems (me! ), but if you are really paranoid, get the mr2 one swaped in.

yeah, any tranny with almost 200,000miles on it, needs to be replaced.

but what do you mean when you say you have no topend? im car rules in 5th gear.

Yeah, as far as I know, you can use the camary auto-tranny.. but the best would to be use a 3s-ge auto.. Thats what I have a setup in my garage.. that at the moment Im selling.. but there are still just as many options.

You can't do an AUTO 3SGTE because of the lack of an ECU...

don't use the camry/solara tranny for the 3sgte... keoni on celica.net did and the gearing is terrible, the powerband on the tranny just doesn't match the engine.

you could do a 3sgte auto easily with a GT auto tranny if you got a standalone ECU... and actually that is a preferable option to many, lots of TT supras with mucho HP have autos, because you take out the human error in shifting... just let the computer do it.
