the material is called Lexane
i was talking to this abouta bud, and he said Lexane is a real light glass-like material...what they use in Nascar. -------------------- |

lexan is a great material...i use it for a bunch of projects i do for random stuff...extremely strong and nearly unbreakable...i dunno how the defroster would work on it though...that might be tricky...also puting tints on it might be interesting...depending on how much this ends up being i might be in for it later on down the road when im not a broke a$$ college student

ok well i'm just waiting to see how many people are interested by the end of the week....that is the 18th of september then i will contact the company and talk to him in more depth about this project.....the supra sells for 880$ so i'm goin to try and get 600-700$

also, how strong will this be

yes the glass is heavy, but still the switch to the carbonfiber will be benificial to the overal performance of the car....any weight cut on these cars helps a good amount i mean even a difference of 100 lbs is noticalble in my car....thats 1 person.....so any weight reduction helps

this will be a good price and 800 is usually what the ruff price range is so dont expect it to drop to much. but depending on WHEN you need the money depends if im in or not.
