Yes im planing on getting aftermarket rims later on after i drop my car but for now id like my stock rims to be white. Ive seen ppl painting their rims and they looked pretty cool. Ive also seen some pix of a car/rim set up that i would end up with and i like it.

Painting rims is something i know i can undertake. However all of the rim paint jobs ive seen have been on already bare or close to bare rims. Mine have crome on them. Is there and easy way of getting it off or should i be looking to trade crome stock for non-crome stock.

N e advice welcomed.

can i paint the crome with out sanding it and jsut cleaning it really well?

ur gonna have to sand the rim down for the paint to stick well.

blah lol maybe ill get white tape lol o yeah ill call it speed tape lol

have fun sanding it. if its done right chrome will pretty much have to be taken off with an acid like substance, i forget what is called. when done right, a sandblaster doesn't do a whole lot of damage. i had to sandblast a couple chrome truck bumpers at work and they took more than an hour each. lots of sand and time. by hand it'll take all week

perhaps ill just trade them for regular ones lol. i was also thinking of getting that black out paint for the tail lights and putting some on the crome for that gun metalish look lol.

use air craft remover and a wire brush (or sandpaper/steel wool). You can get air craft remover at any auto parts store.
