Because I'm getting something with four doors, and I want a car that doesn't beg for attention. I live in a very conservative small-ish town where the sargeant of the police force hates my guts(his wife chased me out of their house with a taser once.) So I pretty much get pulled over for anything and everything(slowing down for brutal railroad tracks, going 34 in a 30, pulling into the second lane instead of the close one, etc.), and if I'm driving a quiet, subtle, four door car, they'll have a harder time spotting me. Right now my car is well known throughout Yakima, and can be seen(and heard) from a long way away. And I'm selling it for $7,000 firm. The price includes the extra 18" chrome wheels and tires, extra power door panels, the extra 20V 4A-GE motor(#1 Cylinder is dead, but the motor is good for many parts), and I'd throw in the TRD replica spoiler if you want it. Oh yeah, I also will throw in an extra modified front bumper and the stock springs too(you may want them if you're getting a low kit, but probably not). not a good idea to insult the administrator lmao
coomer did a 20V 4age motor swap, basically pioneered it. eventually, he ran into too many problems with the VVTI not working, and electrical issues, found out the motor was nothing but problems, and put another 7afe into it. the engine currently in his car (as far as i know since i dont own the car) is perfectly fine, hes willing to sell you the 4age WITH (not installed) the car if you want it for parts or for any other reason. personally i havent seen too many amish people driving Spa Yellow Celicas haha -------------------- Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them all No but I don't buy it Like anything you do, as anyone you are Cause I'm... Lucass, you seem to not understand what the management of this site continues to tell you, chill out. It would be amazing if everyone had as good of tastes in cars as you, but they don't. You think Celica's look good with a kit. Wow. Amazing. Good for you. Not everyone does, and no one's right or wrong either way. However, you are wrong to insult members about there personal tastes.

Hehehe...Tim, I think you're thinking of John and the 4A-GZE. I've still got the 20V AE101 4A-GE in my car, and it's running perfectly now. VVT works exactly as it should, the alignment is perfect, the tranny feels excellent once again. The dead #1 cylinder is on the extra 4A-GE engine, not on the one that's in the car now. The one in the car now is in great condition, and feels nice and strong.

I don't want to ship just the motor...it'd be too much of a hassle. Plus, it's dead...it's probably not worth the cost of shipping. But yeah, it's a 20V AE101 4A-GE. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

LOL...u diss a non kitted celica, and ur in love with a kitted celica with the Zephyr kit? The 404, zephyr, or 404a kit really doesnt make that much of a difference in appearance IMO. Just makes it look lower without actually lowering the car.

I do not remember asking directly for your opinion. Yes, you do appear to talk out of your ass a lot, and not know very much about cars to not even realize what you could be getting into by getting a car off auction and getting it painted and kitted by your friend. I just stated I DONT want a kit, so why would you even be so stupid to say "Pop a kit on it". Didn’t I JUST discuss my unwillingness to do that? |

Interesting reading
Having just brought a Celica and gone through the whole looking and test driving various makes and models of cars We chose the 6gen on reliability, looks (its standard), and ease of parts (being a Toyota) Yes there are those wee problems that come with a two door car and no back seat (to speak of), but hey If you want a people mover then get a sedan So I guess in answer to your question the 6gen, yes If I had the option to buy a newer one I guess I would but, I draw the line at the 7gen, sorry to say I think the designers kind of lost the plot with that model. So if no more 6gen were around then maybe a Nissan Silvia |

wow some people shouldn't ever even post. But if yall (or jus this jackass) want my opinion I was able to get a variety of cars because my parents would work with me.. Celica's are indeed slow but they're the sexiest slow thing out there and with a swap it's a fast-ass sexy machine. Keep an eclipse and just add a fart can and u'll be outta our hair. and btw Coomer's car is the shi* I wish I could get it... But I think my car is sexy too... except it needs lowered.. Or is it an ugly mug since no kit? Sorry for teh rudeness guys but people flamin on celi's piss me off to no end.

It's actually over $16,000. Sad to think about. But yeah, I think I want a G20. Still not sure though...I need to test drive both a P11 G20 and a GC6 2.5RS. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
