i already have a US front clip just need a better dash and order LHD ABS lines..

i have no issues driving RHD.. it seems a bit weird at first but you adjust .

i would never convert a car to RHD and my only reason i would consider leaving
RHD is the car is like new inside and i hate to get rid of it ..

Please reply about the above question .. do not start asking about legal issues as i just want to here what side i should sit on ..

i am older than most guys on here so i could care less about impressing the "boyz" at the local hang out so give me some good opinions..

I would keep it RHD if it's legal. Though you'll probably get pulled over for it a lot. But RHD would be very, very cool. smile.gif

well I think you answered your own question. you don't mind driving it RHD and you'd rather keep the pristine interior. both of these comments lead me to believe you are leaning toward leaving it RHD. I think I would do the same. the only thing that would cause me to switch would be the issue of toll-booths and cops hassling me, but if thats not a problem, why switch?

LHD = Less harassment by cops
RHD = Originality (car complete), bragging rights, called Mr.Showoff by all of us tongue.gif

Can you see how RHD feels so much better?! wink.gif

hey,
well some of you may have seen on celica.net that guy bought red ebay st205 and he drives it around w/o issues w/ rhd.. even w/ swapped vins ..

my all trac buddies are 50/50 split .. all of them are my age (30 ish) and a few say leave it and some say convert ..

i guess my biggest issues with go LHD is i have to strip the entire front. i already have to do that to mr2 in back ground .. ugh .. i am sick of stripping cars .lol

i would like to take to some shows next year like HIN or NOPI so more of you guys can check it out ..

yeah.. if you're driving RHD the cops definately wont bother you much... people arnt stupid enough to think they can get away with it... so if you're driving one chances are the cops know that you are registered.

Not true, one night I was drunk with my dad & my cousin who was sober (dont ask) & we went to pick some stuff up & when he came down, me & my cousin saw my dad take a leak, & as that happened we freaked out cause we heard some sirens & I didn't know cops where that touchy about that kind of stuff but it was that at the end of the block there was a r32 that got pulled over by a cop car & like a minute later 3 other cop cars came with two dumb asses that were trying to show off or some stuff cause they ran to the r23 as if it was going to make a break for it with 2 cops already asking the guys questions & like somewhat recently I saw another r32 (most likely the same one) near the FDR I think & as it was getting on I started to hear sirens behind us. As long as you can show proof of registration to the cops, you'll be alright, but just cause they see plates won't mean they won' harass you.

i would leave it rhd.. since your interior is in good condition..

if you convert.. the parts might not fit right and it will look messy..

you can spend your time and money on other things..like spend your time writting a how-to (you know we all want to hear how you did it.. ) smile.gif

If your interior is o.k. why get in so much hassle converting it. I wouldn't bother. btw, i really believe that rhd is much better than lhd as you can hold the steering wheel with your right hand and change gears with the left.

funny thing, when i try to expand on this view, a greek friend of mine (they drive lhd in greece) he got so upset, he ended up telling me that we are the "minority of world driving".

Yeah like neoklis said, I think that rhd is easier than lhd, use left hand to shift and right hand to steer, but thats how ive seen people drive and been driving for the last few months (lol) so i guess im used to it..

i got use to steering with my left hand, and changing gears with my right..
if i use my right hand to drive it just feels weird.

I really dont care what i was brought up doin, if someone said drive ur st and shift with ur right hand or drive a gt-4 with ur left hand shiftin.. my ass in changin... Also hey you never emailed me back... I do live in Indiana... hit me up sometime for I can say I saw a real gt-4... i will drive ne where jus to sit in one.. lol but keep it rhd it's jus sexier... It'll take some gettin used to, but if I got gt-4 I'd want it as close to the real thing as possbile. and yeah right a how to on gettin one hear cuz mom said I could prolly get one for graduation... but i'm only a junior so i got some time.
