limited slip differential.

It allows power to be direct to both wheels, so you have less tire slipping. Some LSDs can get 50/50 power dist. but I think most are 70/30 or 60/40, dont quote me tho.

Without LSD one wheel drives first and then the second, thats why FWD cars get torque steer, its the one wheel taking off w/o the other getting power yet.

You can buy them separately, but I don't know of anyone that might make an LSD for our cars... maybe for the Celica ST tranny, but probably not for the GT... Installing an LSD is expensive and difficult...

TRD made one last i knew of...it ran $800 bucka-roos tho
and MIGHT have been for japan tranny...so not us
but not 100% sure on that.

can someone that is good at explaining say something about the dif LSDs and say how they work,i know viscous coupler(or w/e the liquid filled one for awd) works like, and the helictical(sp)...like a gear w/ synchros...but yea.

super (since your the guy in the scenes) this might not be a bad time to list the trannys available for swaps and which ones have LSD. I would, but I'm not very knowledgable on trannys and which ones work with the 5S and 7A blocks.
