Still need to do the passenger vent...but I am proud that i got it all done in 1 weekend...especially since the weather here in NC has been nuts over the last week

cool....thanks....by the way....how does the passenger side vent come off??

the driver's side just popped right out with a flat head screwdriver...i was pulling, but i didn't want to break it

any ideas? confused.gif

theres those tab thingies around the inside. be very careful and take your time, bc if they snap ur pretty much screwed and left with superglue to fix it. tongue.gif

I spent 10-15 minutes trying to get my pass. vent out without breaking it, but I got so pissed with it, I added more pressure and still trying to be careful. But I popped it out and the tabs kinda snapped and they were just kinda hanging there, but they are still kinda holding the vent in place now, but there is a small rattle now and it annoys the hell outta me. So all I can say, just try and go for the top right corner of the vent and work it around clockwise. Good luck!

You only need 2 things to get the vent out...

1. Brute Strength
2. Super Glue

looks good. almost exactly like mine. the pass side vent is a beatch to get out it took me like an hour try using 2 flat head screw drivers and prying in little by little and work your way around

looks good, i wanna do exactly the same to my car, but i'll use a darker red. can you tell me how you did it? as in what kind of paint you used and where you got it?

i used Testors Gloss Red spray paint.....and i got it from Hungates (hobby store)

they're about $3 a can....took me about 4 cans to do entire dash

and make sure you use clear coat....i used Testors Gloss Coat spray

Eating and driving is the hardest ever, i spilt soda all over myself when it was too big to fit into the cup holder..lol.. rolleyes.gif

sure did.....i'm gonna take some pics when i get another can of paint and do some more...probably the gauge bezel
