My car is in the shop right now and they told me that I will need to modify the rearlip since I have the greddy exhaust on. Anybody had to make this modification to fit the rear? They told me that they will need to cut it.

I have the hatchback GT-S (GT)
I just went to the shop to take a look at it and they told me that they will need to cut about 2" to the left. The rear lip fits the car perfectly with the orignal exhaust. But because of the Greddy it is mounted more to the left side of the car there for cutting is needed. Now I'm gonna have a big hole in the rear. Does anybody have a rear lip on their car with a Greddy Exhaust so I can see how theirs turned out? |

Dude just go to an exhaust shop and have them move the greddy over to the right 2". Ive got the same lip and Im having my exhaust moved over some so that they don't have to mess the kit up.

You can't move the greddy over just like that. Not sure if you noticed but it is a full exhaust not just the muffler. If it was just the muffler you can move it where ever you want to. The greddy is bolt on one way and you can't move it around plus it needs to be hanged into the brackets.
I see you have the Arospeed muffler so that means you can adjust that however you like. Anyone got pictures of their Greddy exhaust with the rear lip kit? If so please post it up. Thanks |

I'm sure they can but it won't be good. They would probably have to bend the whole pipe. You see if Greddy designed it that way for our car it would be wise to leave it because if you bend it or modify the Greddy then it won't perform as good and possible the air won't flow as smooth. Anyhow I told him to go a head and cut the 2 inches from the left side where the muffler is suppose to come out.
So basically it will look like this ( O ) instead of this ( O ) Haha looks funny when I did that. |

not if the shop knows what theyre doing, the greddy piping is just like any other mandrel bent stainless steel piping, just get them to bend you some new piping and move it left 1 1/2" and down 3/4" and you are fine. the greddy is a great exhaust sytem, but by no means is it the end-all to cat-back performance. Actually it looks like this if no modification is cut. (O )
So in order for me to center it they will need to cut some of the left side off to make it center. ( O ) Oh well to late they cut it already so now it's gonna have a big gab instead of it loooking like this. (O) Lets hope that it will turn out fine. Crossing my fingers on this one for sure. yah I guess I'm just explaining it in a hard way to understand. I will post some pics up when I have the car back. What I'm trying to say is if they don't cut it the the muffler will be really close to the left side of the whole where the muffler is suppose to show and the right side will have lots of space becasue it is not center. But in order for me to have it looking center they will need to cut the left side to balance the extra space on the right side. Do you have a kit on your car?
