ive been told a usdm engine harness will work for my jdm 3sgte swap and that it is plug and play with the exception of the body stuff. can anyone confirm this? i dont know much about the alltracs but if its easier than rewiring my existing harness, then its worth a try.

the usdm harness is the same as the jdm one...but none of it will be plug and play in a 6th gen celica. you still have to rewire it, just like the jdm one.

The JDM is about 30 inches shorter than USDM, needs to be lengthened if your going to run it through the stock firewall hole. The JDM pinouts are different from the USDM ECUs therefore make sure you use the harness that belongs with that ECU. It also depends on the year.
I kept my stock ECU when I did my JDM swap in my alltrac and swapped the original harness to the JDM, or else it wouldn't work. There are about 11 pinouts that are repositioned differently between the ECUs. Hope that helps. |
