I could understand him wanting awya from toyota. Just just owned a toyota that's engine blew. For whatever reason, his condience is toyota likely isnt strong.

And Ricky, you're idiot. Rotaries can be fine as long as you know how to take care of em. Most people just don't. Do you even know how a rotary works? Likely not

yes but considering he blew the engine on a 99 5sfe, which is a relatively strong motor imo, taking care of a 10 year old rotary might spell trouble

g'luck with the fd (I'm assuming) tho, they are great cars

Get the RX-7 and get a street ported 13b swap the sucker in and have some major fun at SCCA. My friends have 3 RX-7's (one of which is getting a turbo 13b transplanted in it at the moment) and they are the funnest cars to drive. Warning though, you will be working on it all the time to keep it driveable. Have fun and hope to see you around.

not so.... i had an rx7.... it blew after 4500km..... drove it easy and i accelerate from a stop light and the apex seal blew right into my cat..... it scratched the hell out of my chamber too....

rotaries are nice, except when they wear out they blow.... piston engines slowly go

the only way to really avoid blowin an apex is rebuild and change a few things on the engine.... first problem is the fact that oil is only pumped into the combustion chamber when it is at operating temperature.... also, they flood very easily when they are shut off while cold

oh and you have to spend so much cash to fix all the damn problems with rx-7's...... the problems dont stop.... you fix one and another appears.... i sank almost $6000 into my rx7 and only got 4500 km out of it

i dont have enough room on this board to write down all the problems... **** just go to an rx7 board and spend a few weeks reading their tech help

sold it shortly after and saved up for me celica..... ive put 40,000 km on it and have spent a grand total of $55 on repairs

i loved my rx7 till it blew.... handled great, drove smoothly and quietly..... lots of power too..... but i wanted something reliable too
