when i shift, it feels like it sticks a little. I was in my friends bimmer and he let me shift around n stuff and it felt so much smoother, why does mine stick? Also, when i push in the clutch its real soft and theres no point where you actually feel it push in, when i was in the bmw, you can push to a point where it feels a little pressure and then when you press more you feel it sink in, kinda like a two step thing. hard to explain but maybe thi s little diagram will help

you can bleed your clutch cylinder through the schrader valve ontop of the tranny i did it too mine and it made a world of diff. that will take care of your slop in the clutch as far as the shifting goes you can change your tranny fluid it makes a huge diff. it will smothen it out tons. you can use penzoil syncro mesh it works wonders. it's made by penzoil and you can find it at autozone.

About the clutch thing, I've noticed that a lot of the nicer luxury cars have clutches like that...my Celicas both have clutches where the feel doesn't change much.

But about the sticking, rjbibeau has it right...new tranny fluid should help.

k do you know how hard it is to bleed the clutch cylinder? and to change the tranny fluid like could i do it or should i get someone else to?

You and a friend can do it in under an hour. Its all real simple.

the clutch one you'll need two people. you have a wrench for the schrader valve and one guy stands there with the wrench and open the valve when the other guys push down on the clutch. make sure that you close the vlave b/f the guy lifts off of the clutch otherwise your gonna suck air into the cylinder. make sure you keep adding fluid into the slutch cylinder.

Yeah theres a hudge dif between a bimmer an the celi. I didnt like driving my aunts 325i as much with stick, but thats prolly because im use to my car. but yeah def a big dif.

yea, hes got his worked up nice, some 19's, and all tricked out and stuff M3 status, he a engeneer at stanford, so hes always workin on it. it was so great, he was tryin to figure out how to have a match ignite near the window washed fluid sprayer, because they make pure washer which is highly flameable and when you hit the spray it would ignite the fluid and spit flames from ur sprayers out either side, but he decided it was too ricey.

how often are you supposed to change the tranny fluid? and i thought there was no fluid in the clutch?

There is no fluid in the clutch...there's fluid in the tranny though to keep it cool and help the parts move without considerable friction.

And I think Toyota recommends changing it every 30,000 miles. It's not hard at all to do yourself.

and if you can't do it your self.. just going into a shop or jiff lube... it shouldn't be more then 30 - 50 bucks to change the fluid...

Try goin from a 350z to a Celi clutch, boy its a real heartbreaker.

For me,. it hasnt really been that i have liked any beter. but its more just being use to them. The BMW is a harder, I would say a spring clutch is how it feels, although im not sure witch it is. but its very dif betweent he accel and clutch, also with that much more trq.

Also I have a question. My shifter feels like it needs to much pressure to go into gear. would that have anything to do with the grease in the cables and balls? or would this feel all be from the tranny? or what. It could just be how ist saposed to feel.

yea i get that too a little, i just had the 60k check up so i think the real question was actually goin into the gear feels a little sticky other than that its not bad.
