You guys are bouncing from one extreme to another. Saddam was always a threat, but to whom, and how much is the question.

Edit: About the atmosphere of the site: no offense thats BS cuz this is a single thread if you dont wanna talk bout it dont come in and read this is an choice to be in here not a requirement. If you ignore the thread then nothing changes. There are alot of ppl who ignore these threads and thats all well and good but this is off topic and politics are a huge part of life. You cant get away from them but in here u can ignore them its easy.

notice my emphasis on the word "HUGE". Bin Laden is a MAJOR problem. and so is North Korea. In my opinion, they're a MUCH larger problem than Sadaam right now who has practically nothing. What has Sadaam done while Clinton was in office for 8 yrs? I havent even heard his name once i dont think.

I don't want to add fuel to the flames here. So I'm not going to blame any one. I just feel that American's feel like they have the responcibility to be the worlds police. Which I completely disagree with, I feel we should not be the only who intervene. Like in the Iraq war, USA forces where the majority of the troups in action. Its scary how our intellegence forces did not detect how korea was making nuclear weapons, where as our intellegence detected imaginary weapons in Iraq. Pretty much, Bush accidently opened a can of worms, no one is happy about it, and its not gonna get better untill he focuses, get objectives straight ,and work hard to get us out of it. We are just gonna have to tough it out, and worry about korea later.

i just don't even care anymore about politics or anything, because the world is about to end. famine, locus, tsunamis, mudslides, earthquakes, diseases, etc. everyone should just enjoy the last few hours we have. .

So you have heard??? You also heard that there were weapons of mass destruction in iraq also didnt you... Did you believe that one in the same way you believe what the news tells you? This has all been a fight for oil. Who is in charge of afghanistan now?? Some vice president of some major oil company bush use to work for before he was president... A pipeline deal stopped by clinton is now back on track since then... What is happening to iraq oil now? Isnt that going almost all to america? Bush goes after pushovers. He knows he wont be able to invade north korea like he did afghanistan and iraq. He would have alot more trouble there. I can assure you that the rest of the world is against america on its actions in the middle east... There is not one arab country except israel that wishes they had a nuke with america written all over it right now. What i never understood was how come bush turned on france the way he did when they didnt support the war... So much for thanking a country for helping america win the war for independance all those centuries ago. That really was a low blow to other countries of the world.

Mmmm, there are about 20 topic on Bush/War/Iraq/WMD/Kerry. All of these arguements have already been made, and I'm kind of sick of it. People will not change their oppinions on this subject. What I would like to see is someone who is middle of the road and can compliment and criticize both sides. Extreme polarization in politics is the greatest evil facing this country right now.

You know, i kinda feel sorry for Sadaam. He kept his nose clean after the first war; disassembled all his weapons programs to comply with what everyone wanted; etc.

Then, he refuses UN inspectors because it's a violation of his country's soveirgnty.

THEN this cowboy brings the entire US army to come and overthrow him and destroy his country.

Now, was he a bad man? Yes. Should he have been taken out 14 years ago? Hellz yes. But still- Bush must have been going: WE WILL DESTROY WMDS IN IRAQ UNLESS HE SHOWS PROOF THAT THEY ARE BEING DISMANTLED
