Alright, i have this proactiv stuff laying around, and, i decided to become a man and start using the "three step process." I noticed that i have this thing call "Refining Mask" Honestly, i would like to use it if it's going to help (it has sulfur in it, so it will, suppose to use two - three time a week, 10 min. a time). But, where in the three step process do i use this?

I used the mask right before I went to sleep after I used the 3 step process...
I dont use proactiv anymore I just wash my face constantly (3 times a day) with plain ol soap and it works good, but either way it works.

How much are you willing to spend?

Perhaps you could try a light chemical peel or something like microdermabrasion if you have inflammed acne and scarring, if you have the cash to spare.

Tanning does help but then of course your skin ages so much faster rolleyes.gif I have an aunt that looks over ten years older then she is because she enjoyed tanning.

Anyways for dealing with my acne I get face scrub usualy and thats about all I need. Haven't been using it the last few days because my skin has been peeling in layers from being dried out frown.gif monday was pretty bad people kept staring at my face.....

I thought i heard on the radio the other day that there were clinical studies about accutane causing hormonal imbalance in teens leading to depression and suicide. Idk, back in the day like 6 years ago i used it and it got my face in line real quick, w/ no depression smile.gif

I took accutane for the standard 8 months. If anything I was more happy with myself, no more acne can do that, and it stays gone after you stop taking the stuff. I think it may be banned in the states now though, I'm not sure.

One thing with it though, you have to carry lip balm and moisterizure every where you go because it dries your face right out.

Tanning is really good for drying ur skin out - works well if u got acne - just make sure u dont go tanning with ur makeup on like soem girls - that makes it worst! :-) i guess a good 99 percent of u dont gotta worry about tanning with make up on!

id get a facial - thats really good - ull be red for a few days but its really good for ur skin!

I use Proactiv and it works really well. I have also used Accutane that helped a lot, but the side effects suck. If you decide on Accutane your gonna have to drink tons of water all the time and stay out of the sun if you can. My skin dried out real bad but regular old baby oil did the trick.
