Hello there,

I got in touch with a guy from BodyKits.org,named Andrew, and I got to talk to him on AIM about a new body-kit for the 6th Generation Celica.

It can be ANY design you want, and we can create it with drawings and such. But, we'll need 10 people to get them made. The first ten will be 750 dollars. They'll need a test-car for about 4 weeks. The test-car will get a free kit. After the first ten, the kits will cost 980 dollars.

Also, they can make custom hoods too. So maybe 10 people would want a USA made GT-Four hood, so it might cut down on shipping costs. Or maybe you'd like to design your own. The price for the hoods is 450 dollars for the first ten.

So, if anyone decides to go with this, the kit and/or hood that is designed MUST be agreed upon by all ten buyers, they can't make two different kits and not have 10 people for them.

I realize that some people don't have kits or many people have the same kits because of the not-so-many american manufacturers/distributors for 6th Generation Celica kits. So, some of you may want this, and some may not. If you don't want to do it, it's ok, because it's your money. I just thought I would try and help out some 6G guys or gals that want a little variety.

So, let's get a little input, people. What do you guys think?

I tried to set this up before. I didn't get much interest so I gave up on the idea. I've got different plans for my car now, but I still think it would be real cool if you could get a new kit made for our cars. Good luck.

The guy went Idle on AIM. So, it'll be a little before I can ask him a question. I'll be sure to ask when he gets back, though. By the way, gh0st_d0g, thanks for the support, maybe it could happen this time.

I was just talking with Shogun on AIM and he brought up the idea that we could get replica/knock-off Extremor or Arising kits. I think they'd sell like hot-cakes, no matter if they are knock-offs.

EDIT: I contacted the guy. And he says, yes, they can make a replica kit. They will need the kit from someone who has it, or they can buy it and add the cost divided onto each kit. Either way, it'd still be less-expensive.

Well, he said they can make replicas/knock-offs. All we need is ten people for each and he can get them made. So, you guys need to decide on what you'd like to get made. It has to be agreeable by everyone that puts their name on the list.

Would the $450 for a hood include shipping in the continental US? I have a feeling that I'm gonna need a different hood or to modify mine if I go with the 4A-GZE swap. wink.gif

Guys. I'm EXTREMELY sorry that I haven't replied to this thread. I haven't been on in a few days due to being at my cousin's house. Anyhow, I'm at school now, so when I get home and most likely get on the computer there, I'll ask him. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated. Also, I appreciate the responses. Coomer, I don't think the price includes Shipping, but I'm not sure. Either way, I think it's still much more cheeper than buying a hood from Japan. Let's keep the thread going. We'll need ten people for each thing.
