was this actually an option for the 1989 camry or is it just a typo for 4dr?

I dont think that the 89 or any year camry every had 4wd, i think some back then had awd, (kinda same thing i guess) I bet its awd, but pritty rare if so.

update: did some quick lookin, I guess there was an 89 camry all-trac, probibly that, but still its rare if it is.

A Camry alltrac is just like any normal 3SFE camry except it's AWD... nothing too special. I think all of the Camry alltracs are AUTO also... at least I've never seen a 5 speed version...

With toyotas love of parts sharing, I am sure the celica AWD tranny would work were you to 3s swap. (allong with auto-manual swap parts)

KBB allows you to pick whatever options were avail. For example, you can also have a car with a sunroof and moonroof...

Also, i'm pretty sure the V6 version was never available in an Alltrac model.

last year I took a plane to New York(Brooklyn) caught a cab to my dad's shop when I got there I told him I wanted a AWD camry to sawp the parts to my Celica; he tells me he has a Camry in the lot out back, as I go out to look at it, the junk man has it on the back of his tow truck going on his way to the junk yard.
then my dad tells me he did not know it was AWD + it was 5spd
it had a bolw head.......

You could only get the Alltrac Camry in the USA for the Gen2 models, in DX or LE, Auto or Manual, but ONLY with an I4-3SFE, you could not get it with the 2VZ-FE unfortunatly.

Hard as heack to find one! a little underpowered thogh.
