Liftback, definetly! I think they are more "curvy". They have more flow. IMHO they look better stock. now for the members with pimped coupes....those i like alot. It depends on what all you plan to do with it. I say liftback biggrin.gif

if you plan on adding a nice clean spoiler and some curren tails I would say coupe for sure (slightly lighter too tongue.gif) but if you want a clean nice shape I think hatches without spoilers look awesome

ur gonna get the coupe guys, like me saying we like the coupes, and liftbacks saying they like the lifts.

Seriously, the liftback is the most common so it has more parts for it because the rears are all made for the hatchback. But at the same time the coupe is lighter and doesnt need extra reinforcement in the rear if you plan on doing upgrades and want to reinforce the frame.

Look at some and see what you like. I have a coupe, so does ghost_dog, Coomer, and more guys.

All GT4s are liftbacks and majority of the guys on here are lifts also, just go through the pictures and see what you like better.

I would say get a liftback over a coupe just because it is easier to find parts. I like my coupe and think coupes look very good. Check out some nice celica's and figure out which one you like more. Don't forget about my coupe wink.gif

Seeing as you live in Australia, I think coupes are much rarer than liftbacks around here. (There's an up and downside to this; you may want a rare car or something with a bit more parts support).

Other than personal preference, there are also some niggardly details between the two, ie the coupe has more rear leg room and head room, but less trunk room compared to the liftback and weight and all that, so keep that in mind.

Unless you've already found one, I think you'll have a harder time finding coupes than liftbacks in the first place (I never found a coupe for sale in about a year of searching in Perth), and thus limiting your options. At least that's what it's like here.

Having said that, I prefer liftbacks myself.

if you are in Australia look for a Curren and be truely individual- they arent so hard to find there (celica coupe with different front end)...
