TOYOTA 1997 Celica, convertible soft top. Excellent condition, low miles, beautiful, MUST SEE

thats all it says in the paper + the # to call but i just want to know what i should expect to hear as an asking price. so know weather or not they are a fair price for it.

thanks for your help

Hey...! I had a $12,000 offer on my ST Celica, mainly because of the rims and system, but still!

Also I believe convertible model Celica's were all GT. There are a couple convertibles being sold on Ebay and Autotrader for $11,000+ with a handful of bids.

Well my Celica Convertible had low milege, loaded etc etc...it was about 20K used at dealership. I got all that certified crap and negotiated it to $14,200.

Bought it at Cabe Toyota in Long Beach in case anyone was curious.

I can't believe that you guys paid that much for you Celicas

it's not that you got ripped off, but all i'm saying that if you

added couple more $ you could've driven a freaken Supra...

Sorry but all 6g US Celicas are so damn slow, pathetic

(ps including my own)

That's what i thought too. You're better off with a non-convertible because the celica is overpriced, it has a great resale value though. The car is good hitting the corners. I have hit the corners at 45 mph w/ no problem, you can even hear the freak'n tires squeek too. Even thought my celica is slow, i pretend it's fast =)

Okay, here's what you do.
First, you call the guy and ask to look at it. After looking at it and taking it for a spin, make note of the mileage and all the features. Make an objective assessment of the car's overall condition. Don't forget to check the wheel wells and underneath the doors - as well as the rest of the car, for rust.
Then go here:
http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/kw.kc.uy?kbb....3&15243;p&716&& and punch in all your information. Use the KBB value as your guide. If he's offering to sell it for lower - fine! If not, take into account anything that would lower the value and use that to bargain down.
One last piece of advice, Toyotas are good cars - so be more concerned with the body condition than what parts it needs ( e.g. new brakes, muffler, etc.) Good luck!

I'm tired of hearing Supra rants.
If you're for speed than why the hell do you even think about purchasing a 6th gen celica. You'll be much better off with oldschool cars. -No more comment.

i just went and looked at it on my lunch, its a 97 ST auto really clean ext and int.

sticker price sasys 9500 and they had 10500 OBO in side on a piece of paper.

seems a little pricy to me. trying to see if the owner of the lot can lower it at all.
