Ok heres just a quick question.....

I was looking in the parts database and I saw a lot of different engine parts for my car (95 gt ST204 automatic) and I just wanted to ask all of you who know a lot about the 6gen engines and what goes good with them...

What is the best combination of all of those parts?

are you talking about all the standard bolt ons? like I/H/E and pulley? if so, each adds a little bit and when all together the gain is a little more than if you add together their independant gains

How about those pistons and stuff? I am kindof clueless when it comes to some engine parts.

Exactly how much money do you have? Cos..if you go buying internals and stuff, unless you know how or know someone that will do it cheap, it'll be costly to get it done at a shop. If I were you and I had a lot of money, I'd go ahead and swap in the 3S-GTE. The reason for this is because you could probably dump a lot into the 5S-FE and still only top out around where the 3S-GTE is stock. Plus, the 3S-GTE is made stronger with the internals and stuff, that's why it has the ability to come stock with a turbo. If you turbo'd your car, eventually, it might have problems if you kept it at a high boost for a long time (years). But, the 3S-GTE was built for that. Correct me if I'm wrong people.

no need for corrections
i would say if you want to do more than minor bolt ons, don't do internal stuff on a stock engine. swap in the 3sgte. like inferno said, it will be the same amount of money for less power

Personally, i was thinking along the lines of a custom CAI, header, custom cat-back exhaust, underdrive pulley, and a JET chip tuning to get it all to run as clean as possible. That would probably give you a good increase in power on the 5s-fe, from what i know. wink.gif
