wld it matter if i was to buy a 94-95 celica instead of a later 96-99 model?

Its up to you really.... Most people prefer the 96-99 front bumper though.
The cars are same throughout the years except the exteriors.

94-95 have 5 more HP than the 96+ due to the EGR

edit, in the US that is, I see you are in AU

yeah fair enough the bumper is nicer but im planning on getting a kit from carmate here in aus so it wldnt really matter wld it?

96+ also have better/ more sound deatening materials- the 94-95s are quite a bit louder and "rough edeged", so to speak...

I've heard that the ABS system on the late 96 models were upgraded as well as other small changes.

in some parts of the US u can get away with doing more engine and ecu mods with a 94-95 model do to the OBD1 system... here in jersey with a car of that year all they check for is that emission from the pipe is under what the fed gov wants... and that the lights and other things work rigth .. they don't check the OBD system ..
