So, I couple of weeks ago. I posted a topic about me having trouble.

Anyways. Heres my problem

WHenever I try to start my car It wont start, but when i use started fluid runs fine.

Until I actually try to drive it. It cuts off around 3k rpm. Now A few people told me that it was the o2 sensor, so i replaced it today. and, still does it :/ so. Anyone have any other ideas?

Either electrical or fuel problem. Make sure your fuel pump is doin its job, your filter and injectors arent clogged, and your fuel lines are in good shape. If that all looks good get your battery and alternator tested, and if those are ok replace your distributor rotor and cap, plugs, and wires.

Uhmm your kidding right? confused.gif

Try at least 50k miles. If you car starts with starter fluid and runs fine its something with your fuel system. Start with the fuel filter and a can of sea foam. Put the new fuel filter in and then see if you can get it started. It will take a few tries because it has to get fuel throught the system again. Then once you get it running warm it up, and then use the sea foam.

Then check your plug wires, if they come off the spark plugs easy they need to be replaced. I wouldn't replace them until after you do the fuel filter and clean the fuel system out.

short and simple

fuel= repleace filter
spark= check plugs, wires, cap and rotor
air= all line are connected no cracks or leaks replace air filter if need

pretty much tune up time wink.gif

Just because your getting spark doesnt mean anything, you may not be getting strong enough spark or you many not be getting good enough contact to your plugs.

But to be honest I think its the fuel filter, injectors and intake and stuff being dirty.
