mine did that, its probably the switch has gone bad. park in a place really really quiet and try to lower it. if you can hear the motor trying to go then it is stuck on something or the motor is shot. if you hear nothing, chances are the switch is rotten. I would take a charge reading on the switch to see if the power is running through it in that case.

This happens to me periodically. If you feel up to it, you can take the switch apart, clean the carbon off the contacts, and then put it back in. It should then work again for a few months. I posted about this before and a couple of 'vert owners said it worked for them. Hope it helps!
Edit: I'm going to need to do this again soon, maybe I'll take pics and make a how-to. It seems that this is a fairly common problem. This post has been edited by CoolDoctorJ: May 9, 2005 - 2:26 PM |

It's actually not the door that you need to remove. You need to pry up the molding around the shifter and the rear window switches, disconnect the appropriate switch, open the switch casing, and there should be two round metal contacts that will probably be burned black. Use a file or steel wool to clean off the carbon scoring.
Then reassemble everything and see if it works. I'm going to try to see if I can find that other thread. |

Its a commn problem, and I wrote a couple of post on this subject that you can find on the search in this website. Its basically a white plastic roller wheel that breaks in the guide rail. Unfortunataly you cant buy the wheels. You got to buy the whole track guide. Its not an easy job to do, but its possible. As a number of us have done it. |
