Okay my two tidbits. I vote for sticking with 17's. Bronze and black is hot, my all time favorite combo.

BUT one thing I want to say is DON'T get the 711's. Save cash and get either the 712's or some Yokohama AVS ES100's. Just me.

Yeah ok rolleyes.gif

Those would look real nice...I would stay with 17 because of cheaper and better profile tires. 215/45/17 is a real nice size. Check out falken ziex 512's for a real nice cheaper tire... also kuhmo ASX's

I have a brand new set of Khumo ASX's from Tire Rack on my stock 15's. Excellent tire for the money.

On that note, go for 18" wheels. Unless road conditions are really bad around you or you would prefer not to deal with them, 18" looks so much better on a Celica in person. 17's to me just looks a little weak in comparison....but its up to you.

i ran 17" rims with escata 711 and they sucked ass
my next set are goin to be bfgoodrich kdw

i hated wet driving with escatas
and they didnt' grip as well as other tires i've run
IMO they arn't worth 100$ a tire

Khumo Supra 712's are very good tires, especially with wet traction. On the other hand the 711's suck. Do not think that just because the 711's sucks that the rest of Khumo tires suck. 712's are perfect for entry-mid level auto-x. A truly good tire to check out though would be Falken Azenis (spelling might be slightly off) these are sport tires, very sticky, and responsive, but wear quickly.
