go to www.jarcoinc.com

get either an st185 (5th gen celica all trac) or st205 (6th gen celica all trac). the st185 will be better for you because it sounds like that you dont have much knowledge (no offense) in this. plus some people say that the parts are easier to find. which i dont get because they are the same engine. but anyhow. you will need someone to do the wiring harness for the car. because you are going from a usdm lhd car to a jdm rhd engine. if you know what i mean. plus this is not needed but i would suggest doing it. replace all the fuel lines, hoses, spark plugs, plug wires, etc. if you get the clip most everything that you need will be on it.

There is actually alot of things different about the 2nd and 3rd gen of the 3sgte. the 1st thing that comes to mind is T-VIS... quite a difference.

The 2nd is the air to air and water to air intercooler.

3rd different turbos..
st185 - ct26
st205 - ct20b

3rd different throttlebody and injector size

4th completly different head design

5th 30+ hp difference between the 2 motors

yeah i dont really have much knowledge in this. so i would have to get a new wiring harness? wouldnt that come with a front clip? front clips that i see have a 4WD transmission, would it cost extra money to do this? if it does how much do you think it will be? or should i just stay with my transmission for now and do that later? i dunno depends on the money i guess. and what do you think would be a good price for a front clip? and thanks for the info guys

No offense Gt2Gt4 I really like your car as far as exterior looks But please take those mud guards off. To tell you honestly, everytime I show your car to my friends they always notice thesame thing(MUD GUARDS) they say your car has nice exterior set up but the Mud guards. Probably you're trying to make a point that you're going to use your car for RALLY. Not many rally cars use mud guards now a days. Im telling you this in a good way, I dont want the pic of your car to end up on Riceboyz galleryat R-Toyz.com. frown.gif

I dont want to be a jerk about this but DO YOUR HOMEWORK. The very first thing you gotta have is determination. If you got that great - now u gotta do homework. This isnt an overnight - look stuff up thing. I started researching the swap in January, and im now doing it. All the questions you have are out there for you to find. Search this forum for questions because theres alot there. Visit MR2 forums - because the MR2 uses the 5sfe and the 3sgte.
Where do you live? If your in Cali - its oging to be tough swapping cuz theyr'e asses out there. Are you going JSpec or USspec? 3rd Gen 3s is going to cost you big time - and its rare. If your doing 3rd gen then just get a clip. 2nd gen is cheaper, more readily available, has alot of potential, has parts in the US, is a direct replacement for the 5s. You cant use a 4wd tranny, u can use a GT tranny as long as u take it real easy, u can use a V6 Camry, or MR2 turbo tranny. The wiring harness depensd on the engine - if u get a front clip you'll have the complete harness, if its USDM then ur good to go, if its JSpec u gotta extend it. U gotta wire the ECU because the 5sfe wont work, that means getting wiring diagrams. I can go on and on - just do alot of research. Do it to your blue in the face, cuz if u dont kno what ur doing mid swap - ur screwed.

the blocks are the same, but... you can't get any of the 3rd gen 3sgte parts through a US dealer. you have to order them direct from japan or the UK. so that could mean a month or so downtime for a new belt if one breaks.

THis is on that link @ topshelfracing.com:

My Car at a Glance
Year: 1995
Model: Celica ST
Engine: JDM 3SGTE
0-60 6.50 seconds
1/4 unknown

Greddy Exhaust +25 hp
Denso Plugs +10 hp
Cold Air Intake +20 hp
Magecore Wires +10 hp
Approx Overall HP 250 hp

Um...does that seem WAY OFF?!?! to anybody?
First - JDM 3sgte 2nd gen is 225hp. So by adding a 25hp exhaust (WTF) ur already at 250? Not to mention the 20hp CAI? 10HP for plugs? According to this it would be a 290hp car.

Am I in lala land?
