Ok, I'm taking a look at the following tomorrow (it's only 3 miles from me!): http://www.autoextra.com/vehicledetail/adi...own/nj/do-basic

It's an ST, so it may not have what I prefer which is 4 wheel disc/ABS, but it's worth looking at. They're all just so freaking expensive here for a late 6Gen. If I wanted to spend upwards of about 8500 then I'd be in there, but I don't want to go that high.

This one above is on the list to look at also, but by KBB he's asking about 3K too much (came out at 4050). I don't think KBB applies to these things very well though, as they all seem to command a premium.

Oh yeah.....I'd LOVE to find one with factory fog lights. How easy are aftermarket fog lights to wire in to the system??

They shouldn't be too hard to install... look for a 6gen on here in the sale forum.... They're reasonably priced because they get flamed most times for asking too much...

Yeah, I've checked. Nothing local for me.

I tell ya, I REALLY want a 96-99 GT with a 5 speed and Fog lights, but I don't think I'm going to find it. I may end up having to settle. Not that it's a huge thing because I do have plans to do a nice non-gaudy body kit, set of rims, some suspension work, ect....but I'd like to start with the strongest base ever.

Then hold out for one.... one will pop up sooner or later... How big of a hurry are you in? Also if you are smart eBay isn't bad as long as there's a carfax report and all that. It might be worth looking into.

I'm actually in somewhat of a hurry. My 89 ST is dead (dropping off at junkyard next week actually), our 90 Buick I just can't stand driving, and I can't continue to drive my 93 Trans Am everyday because of the gas mileage it gets. I'm hesitant to do the Ebay thing because of shipping, but if the right thing pops up.....you never know.

If you played it right you could get a celica near a celi meet.... drive something else there or something and drive it home.... or you can always ask the seller if he can meet you somewhere.

About ebay...

I bought my '94 Celica GT stick from Florida with aftermarket 16" Rims and a shortshifter for 5,1k....shipped.

The car sold for 4,8k, and the guy knew someone personally who owned their own shipping company...I got the car from Florida (I live in Ohio) to Ohio in 3 days flat and for 300 bucks. Car wasn't rusted or anything, with 107k miles on it...as far as Im concerned it was a great deal...but yea dont exclude ebay...email sellers and ask about shipping, they may have more connections then you know wink.gif

Good luck man and hope to see you active in our forum soon! Keep us updated

This one just popped up this morning:

SEE AD HERE

I called the guy and he's selling because he's moving to Seattle and doesn't have a need for it there because he already has 2 cars there. I'm looking at it on Sunday, he's going to call me back on Friday and set it up. He said he's taken very good care of it. We shall see. My only gripe is that it's an auto, but for the mileage/price I can suck it up if it's in good shape.

Yeah, but for the mileage, I'll make the sacrifice. I'm actually looking at a pretty nice 97 ST this evening though......so we'll see, just to check it out.
