I can take some bigger pics in a couple days. They really aren't hard to install though. I had to have bars welded in to support the window motors though, because they'd hit the glass if the doors were closed with the windows down.

i've installed my power windows using spal's kit, it was not diffucult at ALL... but, ill try to pull off my door panel and snap some shots here after work tonight, just make sure you use enough bracing on the motor, and tape/zip-tie the wires so that when the motor tenses up that the wires wont tear (this is not good) and that the motor doesnt torque too much (not good either) ... but, all in all is not a hard install, where are you going to mount your switches?

coomer do u think that welding is abosuutely necessary? i can barely weld and do not have any tools to do so. phillip, i dont quite understand what you mean by bracing the motor maybe pics will explain? yea..im thinkin bout mounting the switches on the panel under the steering wheel. there is already two cutouts on each side so i wouldnt have to cut anything. at first i was thinkin bout doing what coomer did (in the power mirror slot) but it seems to difficult.

No, it's not absolutely necessary. Someone offered to do it for me so I jumped at the opportunity. wink.gif I would, however, bolt some sort of bracing in for the motor, just to keep it from moving too much and stuff. You'll see what I mean in my pictures...I'll take some tonight for you.

And Philip, I'd like to see your photos as well to compare bracing and such. Also, where did you mount your switches?

i mounted my switches where the cupholders would pull out, since our cupholders SUCK, right on the center console down toward the storage space below the ashtray/phonetray and i have two braces that came with the kit mounted vertically bolted into my sheet metal of the door so it looks like a long stick (braces) going up and down with a motor in the middle... if you need clarity, i could throw up a pic after work or email it to you... but basically its

l bolt here, into hole in door panel
l
l
l
O motor here, with wires nicely ziptied to keep them out of torques way
l
l
l
l bolt here, into hole in door panel that i made again... just drill into it (dont be scared) and you'll see how the motor mounts up when you mount the braces to the motor (cut off excess bracing that protrudes past where you bolt it on, if their is some)

so i spent today mounting and bracing the motor. it was such a pain to get the wires through that rubber tubing between the car and the door. anyways i cannot wire them yet since my swtches have not arrived. i was wondering if there is a way to test the motor? maybe connect the + to battery and ground the -? or will the blow the motor?
