Is it a practical thing for us?
I've seen a lot of stuff, esp. in BST thats ridiculous, people attacking other guys, and so forth. Same with double posts, etc... click "report post to a mod/admin" and then you get a text box to decribe problem, then it sends it, and gives the mod team a heads up. Unless people would abuse it here.. -------------------- If anyone needs interior stuff, etc, I'm parting whats left of my celi out. Just ask.

That seems pretty practical and reasonable.
The only thing that would probably be of concern is like you said, people abusing it. -------------------- |

eh, ^ that'll help some, but its gotta be a little bit of both.. but certain people have been here a while, and still tend to do stupid stuff, but some people, like me, haven't been here real long, but have been on other forums and follow rules..

How about some "in training" moderaters or something like that. They don't have the power to do as much as real moderaters, but they can help watch and regulate. I'm not exactly sure about how this would work, but, whatever.

You could also set it to where you can delete a post that you didn't want to make, that could eliminate double post and it could cut down on the mods work. You could also set up a private thread that is only given access to certain members upon request.

IMO you should have 1-2 mods in each forum and at least one for each engine in engine/performance. all or 90% of the stickys we have are pretty usless, and dont really help much. just my opinion tho. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

I feel the moderators are great here, not like the Nazis on nctuners.com where you can't even post until you've filled a profile out. There does need to be more mods, or at least enough to fill most of the day, I don't think mods should be given a limited amount of power, simply due to people like what/HURRR that jump to different sections, the stickeys are cool but can use some touching up like the Feasible Engine Swaps and Supra TT Engine Swap give a lot of the same info, saying the 2jz swap is very impracticle, just make them one sticky. Why doesn't someone re-write Engines 101 and add in swap comments for each engine (if it's possible, impractical, impossible). |

Well, I kinda would rather have people fill a profile out. Then you know they're legit - they aren't "HURR" and you see where they're from, what they drive, whatever.
I dont know, mods do alright now, but they can't control stupid people. What we need to have an IQ and a "forum drivers test" so you are competent operating the forum :-P -------------------- If anyone needs interior stuff, etc, I'm parting whats left of my celi out. Just ask.

Modderators do a really good job now, if you ask me. I have yet to be seriously offended by more than just a cuple cuss words. I think the best thing would be just to put more regulation on who gets into the site, who is alowed to post, and maybe adding a culpe of modderaters/semi modderators to lessen to load for them. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy
