So I was pulling out of ITT parking lot when I started hearing a noise from the front passenger side, it only happens in 1st gear, or really slow 2nd. It sounds kind of like a squeak squeak squeak, kind of like my brake pad is rubbing, but it just started. What do you think it is? wheel bearing?

this isnt the brakes, it doesnt go away through the gears.. I don't know how to explain the noise, I'm just going to have it looked at, besides I need to do my 90K tune up crap. Thanks anyways.

I don't suppose the sound you are getting is similar to if you blew air over the top of a glass bottle is it?

kind of like the whole air over the bottle thing. sort of anyways... Its hard to explain. Its only really noticable below 25-30 MPH, it isnt my CV joints, as they dont klunk when I turn, but its not a high pitched squeak.. its like something rubbing.. kinda.. I dont know how to explain it. My car is due for its 90K crap soon anyways, so I will just have my garage take a look, when there in there I will replace my struts and shocks and when they have it they can hear it. I am 90% sure its a wheel bearing.

Make sure your dust shield isnt scraping against the rotor.

Im getting the same sound, from the passenger side, and im approaching 90k. Same scenario, it only ever happens when im below 30mph, usually stop go traffic etc. If you find out what it is plz let me know, it not effecting performance as far as I can tell but its still bothersome

Same thing happens to me occasionally. I get a squeeking noise from my front wheel at lower speeds. I only started noticing it after i put on my 17s. The guys also fitted on spacers for the wheels.. could that be the problem?

There is a dust shield at the end of the CV boot that spins with the wheel. It's shaped like this:
QUOTE
          Towards engine
|                                                          |
-----------------------------------------------
      |                                            |
      |                                            |
                    Towards wheel

Where the bottom part is pressed inside the bearing (or something). Anyway, mine split right down the dotted line so the bottom part spins with the wheel and the top part rotates freely. It gave me noise at low speeds.

Anyway, reach behind the bearing and see if you can find anything loose.

I globbed some silicone on it and the noise went away, I'll swap it out when I replace my bearings.
