What speed have you guys had your 6th gen GT's to? Any difference between the Autos and Manuals in regards to top speed, or do they end with the same final gear ratio?

Yes, I DID do a search so don't flame me. No, I wasn't able to find any decent threads about it except one about ST's. I asked for GT's
I know this one thread being here will obviously make your life a living hell GT2GT4. I know how it ruins your day to EVER talk about a subject several times. You despise the thread, yet you take the time to reply and talk about it. If you DON'T want to talk about it, then don't. Is it REALLY ruining your day since I posted it? |

Hmm, you guys seem to have very low top speeds.
I hit 125mph Ish easily in mine with still quite a bit left, i reckon will take it to 130+mph with long enougth road Oh yeah the higher top speed ive got might be due to the 3SGE engine. I think the rev limiter cuts the top speed to around 135mph though thats whats on the car stats anyhow. DOGGY has the S-AFC helped with perfromance, thinking of purchasing one myself. |

Damn you non States ppl with your fancy 3sge's. 7200 RPM? Wow, could only imagine what would happen to the 5sfe if it was taken that high, seeing as it's redline is 6250 The GT (US) limiter kicks in at around 115, 116, with about 500-600 rpm's to go. So go get a AFC, or a haltech, or just cut the pink wire going to the ECU
Edit: I now see you have the ST model, the 7afe, right? Even in Lithuania, ain't that a high redline for it? This post has been edited by Rivo: May 6, 2003 - 12:21 PM |

Yup, the speed limiter is no more. According to the GPS the limiter hit at 111mph (about 118 indicated on the speedo) and now the car does 123.9mph (about 133mph indicated).
