Okey, so I was just trying to get a grip of myself after my uncle called me last night and told me he had passed on an offer to buy a 99 GT-Four in Sweden a few days back.. I was almost crying when he told me.. And he didn't even remember what town or dealer sold it. Cause he had been driving from up north and all the way south in Sweden the last few days. Visiting all sorts of towns and dealers. He was thinking to maybe buy one for his 15 year old son tongue.gif (I would kick him and steal that car in a heartbeat!)

And what comes to my attention when I wake up today? I do a Celica 94-99 search on a couple of Norwegian car sites.. And THREE (Yes, 3) GT-Fours pop up for sale.

One of them being a rally car (with all the stickers, vinyls, swapped (rebuilt) motor, new custom tranny, all new adjustable suspension, new brakes, roll cage, all interior ripped out, and rally seats installed. Pushing a moderate 300 whp atm. (new motor have 0 miles on the clock btw). Price you say? 31 000$ US (with old motor, old tranny, all the old parts). And remember, this is in a country where I payed almost 20 000$ for my regular 99 AT200 116 hk car...

Then two "regular" GT-Fours with 60-70k miles on the clock, A/C, all leather (black leather, black car). Left-hand drive, pretty much stock. Sold at a dealer with full warranty for 3 months.

Now I have been pretty confident in just keeping my Celi lately, and saving money for a Supra, but damn.. This got me thinking again. And the price. Just a little below 30 000$ (but those two are street legal and with plates. not like the first rally one). That is 11 000$ more than I payed for my slow ass ST..

This world we all live in.. It's cruel. Yes, I said it.. It's cruel.

Ah the joy of living in the uk eh ? Everywhere you look you'll find a GT-Four. Can you not import one yourself to Norway ?? As you are part of the EU ( if i remember correctly) then i would assume there would be the same criteria for importing a GT-Four to Norway, as you would to the UK.

Not to piss you off further though, i have another GT-Four (ST 185) on the way here from Japan as we speak ! Total cost of £3,600 to my door !

This is not an ST 185, this is the ST 205, but yeah.. I can import one to Norway. No problem. Only thing you have to change. Front lights (IF the car is RHD). LHD GT-Fours can be imported without any trouble whatsoever. Only I have been looking in Germany for them earlier, and not been able to find a single one for sale. And suddently I find 3 of them already imported to Norway, and up for sale.

I can't decide if I should keep my ST, get a GT, get a Supra, or a GT-Four. Up until now the GT-Four option haven't really been there.. But now it seems they are "easy" to get after all.

If you like your Celica ST your gonna luv the GT-Four mate. Folk have said the standard set up is quite fast and powerful enough, but wind that boost up and few other minor mods and your gonna have big fun !

The awesome grip on twisty roads, coupled with the power delivery is fantastic. I have said for ages im getting rid of mine, but everytime i take it out on the twisties, i realise why i persevere with it - great.

If you can get a good one, go for the four. You wont regret it !

They all sold away in one day, except one. I found them yesterday, but today only one of them for still up for sale. And to be honest, not the best one either.. A bit higher price, no leather seats (the ad say leather seats, but pictures show regular seats), highest milage of the cars I found etc..
